We have grandkids in the Aberdeen area and the APG RV park is our home base when in the area. There are very few RV parks in the Baltimore area and those that exist are very pricey (and some not-so-nice). If you are eligible, the Aberdeen RV park is small but very nice. There are actually two RV parks on post - the "older" Marylander park on the west side and a newer "Shore" park on the east next to the bay. We prefer the Marylander as the rates are $10 less and the sites are larger and more level. We also don't need the bath house or laundry facilities in the Shore park. Commuter trains and a bit of road noise can be heard from the Marylander park, but it's very tolerable. The MWR staff are extremely nice and helpful. The PX and commissary are mid-size and adequate and there's a Walmart Supercenter just outside the gate.

Stayed at Marylander Campground while in town for a class. Clean with concrete pads and some shade. Camping was nice but getting a reservation/checking in was a nightmare. Must request campsite by submitting a written request through email. They confirmed several days later and took 1 night deposit. Outdoor Rec is closed on weekend so package was supposed to be left in a box at the campsite. There was no package in any box and nobody returned call to emergency number. Lesson learned to contact them the week before arrival and ask for site number. Still not sure what went wrong but we pulled into the only empty spot thinking it had to be the right one and sent an email to let them know what we had done. Apparently it was not the right site since on Monday someone showed up saying it was supposed to be there spot. Outdoor Rec was only open from 8-4 and class was 8-4 off base so tried to get in touch by email and phone. I have been told this is normal but it took multiple calls and emails to finally get in touch with someone and straighten everything out. Left 4 stars because it was a nice campground and everyone was very friendly when we were actually able to reach them.
