Amazing Hide Away

This was such an amazing little find. The woman at checkin was beyond helpful (we were last minute on a holiday weekend). From the moment that we arrived the staff went above and beyond. They greeted us at the gate, took us right to our space. Check in was easy and they were very organized. Breakfast in the morning on site was very tasty. Even my youngest asked for more. The campsite was clean and beautiful. Nestled in the canyon with stunning views all the way around. Only thing that we would have changed is that we would have stayed longer. We will certainly be coming back!!!

Great park!!!! Outstanding staff, the park is set in a beautiful location and the park was well maintained. It has a 2 1/2 acre dog park!! Dogs loved it. great experience.

A great location, friendly staff, and a very clean park. There are all you can eat breakfasts in the morning between 8 and 10 for $8.49. Great 12" pizzas from $12 to $16 depending on how many toppings you want. Will definitely use this park if I am in the Durango area again.

This park is easy to get in and out of though they make you disconnect your vehicle before parking RV. Nice dog area.

Threats to kick out with no refund - Rude staff and owner

We made reservations on July 1st for a week. Arrived at 7:30 pm on Friday 7/21 and a very nice staffer greeted us and took us to our site. He said since it is late register in the morning.
On Wednesday we had noticed many empty sites so we asked the office if we could stay an extra day. They said yes but we would have to change sites. This seems strange since they stress the point that no site is guaranteed until you arrive. They gave us the option of sites 74 or 77. Since 77 was across the road right in front of us we took that one. The office ran our CC and gave us a receipt with site 77 printed on it.
Friday morning came and site 77 had been empty all night so we moved across the road and left for the day.
When we returned late Friday afternoon there was a staffer in a golf cart parked in front of our RV. He started giving me a hard time saying that we were to be in site 74. When I showed him my receipt with site 77 on it he changed the story to I was told to ask before moving and they would pick the site. I told him that was a lie and that the office needed to get their sh.t together. He ranted that is my wife. I am going to kick you out with no refund and left.
Another staffer returned in a few minutes and said all was okay and to stay where we were.
I have since read reviews where the owner is the one cussing customers and making the threat of being removed with no refund. No wonder his staff acts that way.
I will never stay here again.

Park is ok but a little tight in older section in trees. We had major problems with the staff having a party with loud music to the point that our trailer shook. Had a 4yr old and baby we were trying to put to sleep. Wife tried to ask when party would end and ni one seemed to care. Next morning asked for refund for last4 nights of week long stay. The staff didnt seem to really care that they kept everyone up and didnt really seem to care that we wanted to leave. Even told that someone else jad complained about the loud staff party. Wouldnt mind the party if i had been told it was going to happened or even if they had given me an optiob to park some where else when we came in since they had other sites away from party area and knew we had small children and knew they planned to have a loud drinking party. If you want a place that cares about the customer then do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Wonderful RV park. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Laundry facilities are very clean and new washer and dryers. We will definitely be staying here again.

Liked this place. Nice views all around. Back-in, gravel, level, FHU site. Escort meets you, takes you to site, helps you back in. Then you go to the office to check in. Very efficient system. Huge off-leash dog park. Cable had enough channels. WiFi worked well most of the time, but did slow down at times. Good Verizon cell coverage. Sites are close, but not too close. Had room to sit outside. They have a AYCE breakfast each morning for a fee. Didn't participate. They also have pizza. We would stay here again if visiting Durango.

Super folks and a great park just north of Durango. Very good access to the Durango to Silverton Railroad, and all of the other sites in the area. Would highly recommend.

Close enough to drive into Durango but still out in the country. We stay here every time we're in town and have been pleased with the service. Grounds are clean, area is quiet, dog park is huge. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Nice Durango park

This is a great park to use as a base when visiting all the attractions in the area. They are big rig friendly and easily accommodated our 44' MH and toad. The sites are gravel and maintained with various parts of the park having lots of shade or none, depending on your preference. There is a dog park and a dog wash. We did not use the laundry facilities but they appeared to be nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The office is stocked with tourist pamphlets and basic supplies and also offers free popcorn. They make their own pizza on site which is delicious and a nice option if you want to eat in and not cook. The only negatives are the poor wifi and the pool / no hot tub. Be prepared to use your own wifi or do without. The pool is tiny and they really should add a hot tub.

Just coming out of winter and needs to swept up a bit. Very nice place. Has lots of amenities. Be a nice long term spot or an overnight spot. Staff is very friendly.
