Loved our time here!
By user-5771308... on 2017-10-23.
This is a great family campground! We loved the no reservation system as we enjoy not having set plans when we travel. We ended up extending our stay an extra day and because of the no reservation policy it was as easy as telling them that we wanted to stay an extra day. No worries about the site not being available. Quiet time is 10 pm to 7 am and it's silent in spite of 300 sites. We slept fantastic. We have a 35 foot motorcoach and found a great site in the woods when we got there at around 6pm. They didn't have any full hook-ups left but it wasn't a problem as they have a dump station and great clean bath houses that our 5 teenagers used. Even our teenage daughters said they liked it better than our motorcoach shower, which says a lot of the cleanliness of their facilities. The shuttle system is fantastic! Takes you anywhere you could possibly want to go and picks you up right ate the campsite. When we travel this way again we'll definitely stay here again!

Nice Campground
By user-4732582... on 2017-10-23.
As Fulltimers we live in our 5th wheel 24/7 365. It is always an adventure finding campgrounds with a fair price and full hook ups. Bar Harbor Campground was a prize find. The sites are a little close however the cleanliness and friendliness of the grounds and staff are superb. I would recommend this campground without hesitation.

I love this place! The people in the office are so helpful and friendly, the bathrooms are always clean (fifty cents will get you clean in the shower), the laundry prices are actually VERY reasonable. They have a nice playground and a heated pool. We've stayed here several times and will come back again and again. They have lots of tent sites, and a few big rig sites with all 3 hookups. There a other sites with water and electric only. We stayed a week on a water and electric site then moved to a full hookup site across the street.

RV 37 class A
By user-6125392... on 2017-10-23.
Totally unorganized office. Seek and search ur spot. No advise from office. Great location. Sites large and private. Bathrooms too far apart though clean for how used they are. Few full hook ups. Mostly for tents and trailers. Large facility poorly run! Best for park access.

Not very many big rig spots

Drove thru twice, no luck for our 40 footer, I would say maybe 10 percent of spots are big rig friendly.

Awful
By user-5256144... on 2017-10-23.
This place was awful. Too many rules. No this, no that. Very disorganized. Don't forget your quarters when you take a shower. It was terrible. I would NEVER recommend this place.

Awesome Park!
By user-5055794... on 2017-10-23.
Unusual park in that they do not take reservations. You show up early, check in at the office to get a map, drive around and find the site you want for the price you like, set up, and come back to the office to pay. Time coming in between noon and 1pm. They only take cash or check, but you can pay by the day without worrying about losing your site. We stayed October 5-12, paid each day in advance, waterview site with full hookup at $44 a day, (paid for 6 and got 7th free), fantastic view of water and mountains! Staff were all so nice! Bar Harbor Lobster Pound across the street, walk over and drink the Allagash White draft and stumble home! Loved it here. (BTW: there is an ATM in the office if you need cash to pay for site fees).

Many private sites. Great panoramic view. Shuttle bus pick up at the front gate. One of the best. Stayed in a 16 foot scamp travel trailer

Great little campground. Clean and well kept sites and bathrooms. Variety of sites from pull thrus with full hookups to some nice looking tent sites. We were there early June and had our pick of sites. They have a no reservation policy so we...

First Come - Cash/Check Only

Good base camp to visit Acadia and Bar Harbor. Arrive at 8 and be ready to pounce on the first available site. Get to know your neighbors and find out when they are departing. You can reserve a site by putting a chair or car or whatever on it and then go to the office and re-register. The routine is for you to stay hooked up, find your site, then go back to the office and register. OK Verizon coverage, some TV reception, good WIFI if close to laundry.

Large campground with lots of shade
By user-5213101... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2018-09-12 to 2018-09-12
In the area & did a drive thru. From a big-rig, Class A perspective, narrow roads, lots of trees, few sites have a water view. Sime sites are so shaded the only view is the front of a back-in space. Narrows Too is much more open & no navigating issues.

Awesome time!
By user-6270505... on 2019-08-09.
We loved this place, the views & so did our dogs. Super nice campers, nice staff. 37 ft MH with full hook up for $44. They close for season Oct 7. We lived in luxury with full.hook ups. It was chilly but nice. You can walk to dinner at Maine Meats. Great staff, good.

The wifi works!
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
As everyone has mentioned, cash only and no reservations. We came right before closing, 8pm, and got one of the last small trailer spots, however spots with no hookups were private and plentiful. Would recommend.

Excellent campground

Only thing goofy is no reservations. Not a fan of that, but otherwise, very clean campground in a very convenient location. We stayed at site O13 whiich was shady and wooded with a small pond right next to it.. No ocean view from our site but many non shaded views near the pool with ocean view. Wi-Fi was non existent on our loop too but AT&T cellular has full coverage there. Every day a cleaning person came and removed the ashes from our fire pit. There were ample dumpsters around the campground to dump waste and recyclables. Pool was clean and large and due to a Maine heatwave, very busy. There was a dog walking trail that doubled as a blueberry picking trail. Where Wi-Fi was available it was slow. Staff was very friendly and yes if you see a better site you stake your claim and take it. There is a mini golf, ice cream shop, and restaurant within very close proximity accessable from a access road to the campground too. We definitely look forward to staying there again.
