Pull through sites tight; pool under renovation; store under construction; very low water pressure; although I was told they were working on it, other campers and staff very nice. Prices a little high for existing conditions at $52.

Tiered sites. Each site appears to be pretty level. Staff was friendly. Cable TV is advertised but not hooked up yet. They are obviously worked to make it a nice campground. Bathroom/showers clean. 1-2 bars for Verizon. No over the air TV.

5th day of 6 reserved; keep going no matter which way your going; absolutely no water at all several times through out the day; dusty.
Not worth the price even if it were free. One star only because I had to.

Cramped camping
By user-5654980... on 2017-10-23.
We've seen this time and again, putting too many sites into too small a park. Hard to park large rigs.
On the plus side, great picnic area and close to Coeur d' Alene

Nice but
By user-5840973... on 2017-10-23.
We have stayed here twice and enjoyed it.
However, when we stopped for an overnight in Oct of 2015 and 2014, it was closed.
It seemed to be for sale. Too bad.

Out of the way location - literally
By user-4941008... on 2017-10-23.

Although this location is within a mile as the crow flies from the I90 freeway its definitely out of the way. It sits up in a draw at the very end of the east side of Lake Coeur d'Alene. There was very little traffic noise and all the campers were respectfully quiet.
When we arrived the younger-aged owner/manager was cordial and immediately checked us in and walked up to our location. Total cost for 3 nights was $147. All of the camp sites are on a "stair step" type setup with back-in sites on the outside and drive-thorough's in the middle, allowing for 2 campers per level.
We had a drive-through for our 35' 5th wheel and had no problem turning into the site although they are somewhat narrow if you have double slides. Our camper slide on the one side was within 2' of another campers slide and the other side about 3'from the 5'high brick retaining wall step to the next site.
The have small wood burning barrels along with some complimentary firewood, but due to the the tightness of the site, we chose not to have a fire as did many of the other campers.
Over the air TV reception is poor offering only about 4 channels with only 1 of them being a local major network station. They do offer a cable TV hookup but we opted to use our Dish remote which took a little positioning to get reception due to the trees and steep terrain.
Since the place is under new management, the former internal convenient store was empty of anything and your 8 miles from town with no
convenient stores near, so plan accordingly.
The little tent/beach area was ok, but its really at the end of a lake with lots of reeds and swamp grass around.
They was a maintenance person who was very helpful and anytime he came by he was always offering to help, including moving the burn barrel, getting more wood, hauling away your garbage, etc.
Overall, our impression was it was an OK place for last minute camping or for maybe an overnight stay, albeit would be nice if it was closer to town/amenities. We gave it 4 stars though as they are working hard to provide a nice retreat, going out of their way to be helpful and wish them the best.

A for effort
By user-6002848... on 2017-10-23.
Owner and staff very friendly and their plans for the camp improvements are exciting. However when we booked we were not told of construction (hazard walkway and stairs to office), that due to a bad winter the pool was closed for repairs, yes the water pressure was weak, sites are ok but hilly, we are medium size so ok. Bathrooms need updating, not ada accessible with slap walkway incomplete and step up into room. No store, in fact these photos are not accurate....no hot tub, no pool, no dump station (we were told to use city dump at exit 12...10 miles away). Free firewood (but camp gets smoky), hot showers....... shady sites.

Was pleased with everything. The hosts and staff are all really friendly and amazing. They have FREE firewood for campers to use. The park is uber clean and almost all the sites have sun and shade at different times of the day. I had a great tent site and was happy that the campground was pet friendly. They are making improvements to the campground so things were under construction, but the necessities like the bathrooms and sites were all clean and working awesome.

Stop on the way to Glacier

We were stopping over in Coeur d'Alene on our way to Glacier National Park. We were able to rent out their cute cabins that comfortably slept my family of 4. After checking in we went down to the water where we had free use of their paddle boats. It was a great way for my kids to get out their wiggles after the car ride. That night we made a fire in the fire pit, with firewood that they provided! We are excited to come back next year as the new owners are making renovations to make our experience even better. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and the facility was very clean and comfortable.

Camp Coeur d'Alene Is A Dream!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in a cabin over Labor Day at Camp Coeur d'Alene and had such a wonderful experience. Though the temps were hot outside, the cabin stayed cool. The camp grounds are beautiful and very clean. Beautiful being right on the water and plenty of hiking close by equals a well-rounded mini vacation. The camp is also an easy drive to downtown Coeur d'alene and the many restaurants and retail shops. The new camp hosts/managers are very accommodating and are doing a wonderful job updating the camp. We’ll definitely be back!
