Very scary half mile drive. Very tight for big rigs. Pretty ratty baths. Actually a bit noisy from the road in the valley. But the views are priceless.

At times, when visiting family, we opt for Campfire to see the valley and feed the turkeys. Nice sites, excellent people. Worth the trip up the hill. We will come back.

We were in site P8 for 5 nights and if it weren't for having obligations with friends we would have never left the campsite. The only downside is there's not a lot for kids to do. The staff provide just about anything you could want or need and Jason and Stormy would do anything to help you if you needed it. We drove all the way from California and when we got there we needed some brake work done on our coach. They recommended Gary who came out to our site and did about 5 hours of work on our rig in the campsite. He did an excellent job and not only did he save us a trip to a truck service center he was about $200.00 cheaper. Do yourself a favor and stay here. It's worth the price. Clean laundry room too. We didn't use the showers or bathroom but I'm sure they were great.

So many definitions of Big rig friendly. Big Rig Unfriendly would be better would be better for this campground. If you would like to get a few more gray hairs or additonal wrinkles, this is the park for you. The first sign that this park is not big rig friendly is the single lane, windy dirt road that leads to the campground. Pray that another vehicle is not using it at the same time as you - no shoulders or pull offs. Once in the campground, watch out for boulders so close to the road your Tires may meet them. Maintenance man watches as you almost run aver one of those boulders - since you so busy watching off-leash dogs or ensuring you do not drive off of the road, down a drop into the tent area. Good times! And when the maintenance man moves the boulder back into the road and says "It is what it is" you grow more confused at the 'friendly' terminology. Maybe the 'it' he speaks of is a new tire - or body work after you run over that nicley placed boulder! Once you settle into your campsite that is not very level, you can breathe easy - until departure. When you are ready to leave, head towards the back of the campground to the turnaround that requires a three point turn to escape. Remember to watch out for the boulders lining the path! And the maintenance man watches again, only helping to remind you to return your cable remote - which not a problem as I would really like that $50.00 deposit returned. Now that you are ready to desend via that small, single lane no-shoulder entrance road, you need to decide: hook up here or at the bottom? Should you need to back up while travelling that road, do not hook up at the campground! You may need to avoid running into another vehicle on the way down. You might not have to worry about another RV as they are very clear do not check in before 2:30. DO NOT! A warning sign for future visits to other campgrounds. We travel to Asheville frequently and were hoping this would be our go-to campground. Nope! Will not be back.

Stayed on site P5... wonderful view! We loved our visit to the Biltmore. Very close by. The last corner on the road up is a bit sharp and the turnaround in the back a bit tight, but all in all a great weekend. We would stay again.

Great hosts, level sites, well maintained 35 unit RV site. Stayed here for month of February. Wild turkeys roam free, little town of Weaverville is close by with all the amenities you need. Campsite can refill your propane. Laundry was clean, showers we're hot and clean. BBQ pits were clean, BBQ grill was right outside our RV door. Close to Asheville, close to anything.

Stayed in October 2017 for 5 days. Pulled a 24ft tag a long up windy dirt \ gravel road with 3\4 Dodge truck and had no problem. May have been a problem If you had meet oncoming traffic but I think you could have had room to deal with it. Nice staff, small private owned campground. Bathrooms and showers seemed clean and nice. Saw some Big coaches and fifth wheels that made the short climb to top of hill while we were there. Close to Asheville, blue ridge park way. Ubered to Asheville one nite was not a problem. A little pricey for the sites with the beautiful view but was worth it. We would go back to this campground.

Verizon was good. bathhouse has many restrooms/showers and a laundry. Front desk store has firewood and propane. Only draw back for what you pay road potholes repaired, several night site/street marker lights out

A nice campground, we stayed 2 nights ($55/), the ride up the hill is very bumpy and there s only one way in and out. When it s time to leave every camper has to go to the end of the road and turn around. If your backup skills are a little weak it ll be a 10 point turn. Not a large enough culdesac to just turn a RV or a truck w/camper around. Bath houses were clean and the people were very friendly. WRT price you need to take into account that you re near Asheville.
