Closest park near DC so there really isn't any options. The facilities were well kept and clean. Cable and wi-fi worked good. We were there during the heat wave so we got to enjoy the pool. Didn't use the bus system they had to shuttle you back to and fro to DC, but we did take the advice of using the metro. Just parked the car near the station and hopped on. The campground is expensive, but it was really nice. Our daughters liked walking around the park. Would recommend in the future.
By user-5175766... on 2017-10-23.
Great that the bus stops right at the park. Easy bus ride to metro trains and capital hill area. Came recommended by campers we met in Nashville. Would stay again if in dc.

It is a nice park and its easy to get into DC. The internet is unusable. We inquired and management has been aware of the problem but apparently has no interest in fixing it. I have been searching for work, so my connectivity is rather important.

This was the first time I set out to camp in a motorhome. This set a high standard for all others. Great facilities for laundry, while letting the kids in the hot tub. Great little caffe with delicious soups.

Great for family's, but very republican so if your not white and straight..... your going to be uncomfortable. Trump cut out to great you in the reception.. Oh and it was still full price even empty and without pool or hot tub available.

This is our second stay. You cannot beat the location if you visiting DC. While the amenities are good we stay at parks because their proximity to the places we want to visit. Cherry Hill has a daily seminar on how to use the Metro conducted by the very helpful and knowledgeable presenter, Barb. Metro bus comes into the park hourly or you can drive your car to the Metro. We went into DC for 4 days with the Senior Pass for under $5o for the 2 of us! Can't beat it. Also this Park is in the middle of College Park Maryland so all finds of shopping, groceries and dinning are close by. We paid $292 for 5 days and that it a great price for this location. They are building more park houses and improved amenities. We will stay her anytime we are visiting DC area.

Very well maintained, beautiful campground with a lot of great offerings on site (had dinner and breakfast in the cafe). Sites were crushed rock and required mimimal leveling, all surrounded by lush grass. Planned on swimming in the pools that were supposed to be open until 10pm, but the better (warmer and larger) of their wpools closed at 9. Other than that 1 demerit, we would be happy staying here for an extended stay.
By user-4823786... on 2017-10-23.
Huge! Make sure you reserve the exact kind of space you need. We had to back in, instead of a pullthru. That meant an extension cord since the electric hookup was at the front of the space. Lots of kids, really nice pool. Try the crab cakes in the restaurant onsite. Kinda pricey.

We stayed here over the 4th of July week and had a great time. The park is pretty easy to get to, the check in process was nicely organized, the staff was very helpful and the amenities were great. They are constructing a new part of the park that ended up being right across the street from us so that was a little noisy and muddy but overall was not too distracting. Our kids loved the playground and made some new friends. We drove to the metro station by the college which took about 10 minutes which was cheaper and easier for our family of 6 than using the bus. We went to DC 4 days while we were there and the station at the college to the Archives stop in DC was about 20 minutes. The services at the campground all worked well except they put the services post towards the front of our site which meant we could not have our cable TV cable reach. Not a biggie as we were so busy anyways. There is a dog walker there named Sandy that did a great job and made it so we could spend the full day in DC without worrying about our dog. Overall we would recommend this park highly to anyone wanting to explore DC.

This park is well located in the Washington DC area. It is well kept up and has an array of sites from 50 Amp full hook up to primitive tent camping sites. The interior roads are a bit rough paved but so patched to shake the motor home around. If repaved this would be a five star park. Convenient to the DC Metro System of buses and light rail subway.

If you want to tour Washington and camping, this place is for you. A metro bus will pick you up at the campground and take you to the metro train station and will bring you back. No need to fight the traffic. However, be prepared to do a lot of walking, and I do mean a lot. Staff is very friendly. Be sure to attend one of the sessions on visiting DC as they are extremely helpful. This park seems to have everything. It is huge, has several levels, cottages to rent, level, shaded sites, pool, cable tv, wifi, etc. The sites are fairly large. Night tour was very interesting and well worth the cost. We are a retired couple staying in a motorhome. Would stay here again if touring DC.

This is a great place to stay if you want to visit Washington DC. We took the bus (85 cents for seniors) to the subway and spent about $2 to get into downtown DC. The whole trip takes about an hour, but it's better than driving into town and parking. Everything is so convenient once you get there. All the museums are free and the city is so well organized. We loved this RV park because they had all the amenities, and they really made an effort to make sure you had a good experience. They had an orientation every day to explain the bus and metro systems, and the laundry had the newest machines I have found in an RV park. Overall, it was a first class experience!

We stayed here for 5 days while visiting DC. Very nice park! Clean and spacious lots with fire rings and a lot of activities including pools, mini golf, game room and cafe. Only about 3 miles from the metro station that will take you straight into downtown. The metro was also very easy to navigate. The only negative is the noise from the highway but you get use to it. I highly recommend this park and will definitely stay here again!!
By user-6238297... on 2017-10-23.
Not all sites had them, but mine had electric and sewer connections at the front and the back of the site, and the water connection was right in the middle. Staff in the stores were great. Lifeguards don't enforce the pool rules so be ready to enforce them yourself to protect your kids. Mini golf course was top notch. Metro stop at the park made it easy to get to DC. Pay attention to the bus schedule times to make sure you make it back to the park.

This camp ground has it all! A little more expensive than some, but worth it. There were very few campers when we came, but it was winter after all. We have a 30ft travel trailer and the pull through sites are great. Free showers, trash and really friendly staff. I look forward to coming back in the summer.

We have stayed here a few times, several days at a time and always enjoyed it, no complaints. But this time (early September) we got ANTS. We were lucky, to catch and treat it fairly early, and we moved after we met our neighbors on both sides who told us they were fighting severe ant infestations from the sites. We each addressed it with the Office multiple times over 36 hours and were told, "we're short handed and can't do anything about it." The person in the office seemed totally unconcerned and actually a little irritated that we were bothering her with it. We asked to be moved to another area altogether since one neighbor had said he found the ant bed nearby and was trying to treat it. She finally allowed us to move, after some hassle, but she didn't want to do it. In the past we would have given Cherry Hill Park a 4-5 star rating, but this time we can only muster 2 stars.
By user-5771461... on 2017-10-23.
Very pricey but worth it...the cable tv is great , level sites , nice staff , close to DC area , it took us 1 day to learn the metrorail system but had fun taking to the locals...it would take months to see all the stuff around here...

We wanted to spend some time in DC and this CG was perfect. We took a bus from here to the subway, got off at the Archives stop and were right in the middle of the mall area. There was even a person who would come and walk your dog for you ($15) so I was able to spend the entire day without worrying about her. We had a nice shady spot. Wespent 3 nights here and would stay again

Everything was excellent, easy check in, great site, kids loved the pool and outdoor movie, and super easy access to play tourist in DC. Pulled one star off due to there being no A/C or vent fan system to suck the moisture out. There was one blower sitting on the floor with an extension cord running to it, and it didn't work. Shower in the summertime was like showering in a wet sauna. UPDATE: cherry hill did contact me after simulate review on their FB page apologizing and added that they were in the process of installing A/C units in the bath houses

Great park for access to DC. Clean and moderately spacious. If you have the tow there is a rail station at Greenbelt on the next exit on I495. Takes you right downtown. Decent restaurants close by as well as grocery just up the street.

Absolutely the best park we have ever encountered coming all the way from California and back. Great amenities, thoughtful staff exceptionally friendly staff, especially Kathy Brickmiere .She gave us great info on the buses, metro train, circular hop on hop off bus etc. , driving directions a wonderful asset to park. Kathy also joined us on her day off for a Metro train ride to some places we missed. Great fun! Also wonderful were all the folks in the cafe ,which we used each morning, frequently in the evening for dinner ,and often for ice cream. Bill, Robin,Susan and Sherry were great. The food was very good and nicely presented. Everything fixed the way you like it.Sherry went out of her way to pickup a special shirt for us when she went into Port Washington. Great gal. Made use of the worlds greatest dog walker/trainer, Sandy Whitly . She was fantastic. Very dependable and excellent with my dog. If you are going to be away from your coach while touring DC you can depend on her to take your best friend out for a walk. Restrooms were exceptionally clean, thanks to a great cleaning crew. Loved our stay.

Reservations are needed. Huge park! Security gate with code. Closest park to Washington, D. C. Great asphalt roads gravel spots with picnic tables and some fire pit areas. Playground areas, miniature golf and a super pool area with guards. On site grocery store and cafe. Great street and sight lighting. Very nice bath/shower areas. Very close to restaurants and everything needed. Quick check in and very friendly. Absolutely the best. I also used the recommended dog walker when we were gone during the day 2 different days. 400 + spots.

Very clean & friendly - great facilities. Discounts for military. Great location with good bike trails nearby. The College Park Airport Museum is nearby - the oldest airport in the world and a nice small museum with an interesting first helicopter to (barely) hover. Great location for exploring DC.

We had a reservation in space 729 we check in and the person you are in 729 we get to the site someone else is in it . We call the office the man says so sorry we will move you to another good place well it wasn't it was next to a freeway with traffic all night trucks. Worse place I ever stayed. And highest price place on our whole trip $81.00 after discount. They should have told us about freeway before they moved us. The call it a premium site no way.

Very dog friendly with lovely 1.4 mile trail around park. Great amenities: pool, golf, cafe, playground and nice sites not too close to neighbor. Clean restrooms. My site next to highway and noisy - so four stars.

Great park. Well cared for and rates were reasonable. We had two problems. First was that we were near the cabins. The noise level was unbearable. Also, the cars travelling through the park were travelling way to fast.

This campground is one of the best we have stayed at. There are so many things to do not only in D.C. but at the campground itself. The tractor rides around the park are fun and relaxing. The pools are big enough you do not feel overly crowed. However they where pretty chilly even with being heated. The entire campground is very clean and well kept! Bathrooms are one of the cleanest I have been too. My only complaint during our stay would be the workers at the dining area are not friendly and quite frankly rude. We didn't expect that, being every other staff member we met where super nice and helpful. You won't regret staying at this park with your family.

We are near the end of a 12,000 km road trip with 3 kids. This park is by far the best we have stayed in. They know exactly what they are doing and have covered every imaginable base. You can charge purchases onsite to your site number. Pools have a lifeguard. Great daily info session on the best ways to visit DC. We will be back, with friends.

Great place. Available tours from park to DC sights. Metro bus to station for taking the subway. Continuous hour long classes to tell you how to get around DC. We had terrible weather while we were there and regrettably cut our trip short, but we will go back sometime. Great laundry room. Ok cafe, but not close to the office. Very nice staff.
By user-5977557... on 2019-08-09.
This place has everything for everyone: great swimming pools and a spalsh pad, movies for kids at night, fishing ponds, very well equipped laundry room with commercial machines, a dog park and a big unfenced area where you can play with your dog, a well stocked store, RV technicians on site ( we used them and they helped us finding our problem), very clean restrooms, bus stop on the site to go to the metro station... There s not many negative to say about this park, except maybe that it s proximity to the I-95 makes it a bit noisy, depending on where you are on the park. In a RV with the AC on, it is not a problem but it could be one in a tent or a pop-up, especially on weekdays when you hear traffic helicopters over your head from 6 am. This is definitely a park where we would go back if in the area again.

We stayed two weeks. Nice facilities, friendly and helpful staff. We came for the DC sightseeing and were not disappointed. Two info sessions/day to let you know how to get to DC and see what you want. Also offer their own day and night tour of the Capitol (which were excellent). Can buy metro cards at their concierge. Clean bathhouses, nice cafe, noise from the interstate is only minus.

Many say this place is expensive BUT even passing through in the winter this park is worth the price. Stormy weather forced us to the urban Balt-Wash area at the end of a long day. All we wanted was a safe place with clean and warm baths (we have a class B). We got that here plus plenty of room to walk our dogs in places that weren t flooded from the inch of rain the night before (much less the 10 inches of snow they had the week before). The check in staff were great. Will be back.

We chose this park because of its proximity to our nations capitol. The check in was easy and there was a gift shop and camp store that had reasonable prices. The amount of amenities this park offered is nutty. Multiple playgrounds, exceptionally clean bathrooms, putt putt, pools and more. We didn t spend a ton of time at the campground because we were touring the Smithsonian museums and national mall. The public transportation from the campground was easy easy easy. The only negative we could think of would be the road noise from the interstate. However, it would be hard to find a campground in the densely populated DC metro area that isn t near a major highway. We had a great time and would definitely return again.

Pros - very clean, friendly staff, lots to do for kids, bus stop to the subway., quick trip into DC. Cons - some of the sites are pretty narrow so you ll have your fire and dinner on top of you r neighbors sewer hoses. Between the nearby highway and the early morning maintenance, it s loud.

This campground was clean, beautiful, and well maintained. Staff were friendly, store was well stocked, and tours well organized. Proximity to University of Maryland is a plus as well! Ease of doing your own thing for touring DC is well discussed by staff ad well. The only complaint is the proximity to the highway. Since that cannot be controlled by staff I will not remove a star. Definitely will return!

This park was EXACTLY what we were looking for to explore DC for four days. It is extremely clean, very peaceful (some interstate noise if staying on that side of park), and amenities galore. This is probably one of the nicer parks we have stayed in - and we ve stayed in several. The metro station is about a 5 min drive / 15 min bus ride from the park. From the metro station, you can be in the heart of DC is 30 mins or less. Parking is free in the weekends at the metro station.

We couldn t be happier with our 3 night stay. The only thing that could have made the stay better was warmer weather to enjoy the pool without freezing. We were pleasantly surprised with all the amenities. The food at the cafe was simple and really good, pizza is delicious. The very first thing I noticed was how diverse and friendly all the staff was. The store has everything we could have needed and more. Our site was spacious and we made ourselves right at home here.

Great place to stay in a short drive into DC/Maryland areas. Tons of amenities that made us wish we had a whole day exclusively at the campground (we went into DC) The mini golf was totally unexpected and CLEAN! The best upkeep of mini golf area we have ever seen. $1 and proceeds go to charity. The pools were lifeguarded and the rules were not outrageous! Doggie obstacle course, awesome well kept playground and fitness facilities. We really enjoyed our time here and easily extended our stay for two more days. Thank you we hope to be back!
