OK for a night or two. The campground is clean but pretty weary. Most of the pull through sites are very, very tight. Sites are fairly level but muddy. They could use some fresh gravel. The cost a bit high for what you get. The Caverns on site are a plus. Worth seeing.

We stayed here for one night on our way passing through. It was nice to do the Cave tour. The campground was a little muddy but it did just rain. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

Okay for a night stop because of its proximity to I-81. Or if you like caverns. The sites are so narrow that your awning hangs almost over your neighbors' water/sewer/electrical connections. The people are nice in the office but if you get there when a cavern tour is starting, you will have to wait to check in. We stay here because my wife attends a three day conference in Roanoke once a year and this is absolutely the only campground anywhere near.

Stayed there 2 nights till found another campground. Upon arrival I thought I was in a RV junk yard next to a hiway. The people in the office were nice and the caverns are on site. Was there for business and moved to another campground as soon as there was a opening farther away but better. I say stay if you have to.

Perfect place for a stop. Little noisy because 81 runs right above the park. Great wifi, clean and well kept park. This is not a resort style park, but rather an old style campground with all the modern updates. Should be judged that way. I loved it.

Small park with good shade near I-81. Pull thru sites are ok. Great cable tv and wifi works well. Biggest problem is the park is very old and mostly full of long term residents living in old worn out looking trailers. It is ok for overnight but can't think of good reason to stay any longer..stayed there in a Fifthwheel

We stayed overnight, and found everything good. The check in was friendly, There's a reasonable dog area, shade trees, and it was quiet. The hook-ups and cable all worked well. Basically our overnight was uneventful and pleasant. What else could you ask for. I'll stay again in our 37ft 5th wheel.

Everything worked well cable tv, wifi, and cell phone. Bath house was run down but had plenty of hot water. Lacks any ambience

Park seems run down but ok for a nights stay. Earlier reviews weren't kidding when they say the spots are narrow. They're nice and long for our 34' 5th wheel and long bed truck but couldn't extend awning all the way as it encroached on neighboring real estate and would be taken out by someone pulling into the adjoining site. Sewer and electric good. Wifi is the best we've seen since hitting the road in May. There are a lot of full time rigs. Staff was pleasant although the lady said they were completely booked when I called however there were spots available when we happened to pull in to check ourselves. Money needs to be spent to make sites better. There's gravel on sites but needs more since it's virtually nonexistent and extremely muddy when it rains. A lot of highway noise but would probably stay again only due to the fact there's nothing else available in the Christiansburg area.

We are here for three nights. It's a small campground. A little tight but no worse than some we have been in. We are in a 38' Class A with a tow and had a decent pull through site. Yes, there is some traffic noise, but not enough to keep you up at night. Campground is old but clean and the people are very friendly. We would stay here again if coming through this way

Gravel pull through for all sites. Sites are fairly level. Electric, water, sewer & cable. Mostly long term or overnight campers. Near I-81 but relatively quiet. Night host very nice and informative. I would stay here again if traveling through the area. Sites are very close. Price is fair for what you get. Bath house is clean. Nothing special. Older park. Camp fires are allowed.

Full hook up pull thru site. We decided to stay another night..nice little place 1/4 mile off interstate. Very friendly people!! The cavern tour was reasonably priced, we all enjoyed it!

This is a campground. Fires ok, tents ok, dogs ok. Road noise from interstate ok. Cable barely worked, WiFi didn't. Just spent the nite. Staff was friendly.

Another CG that packs you in like sardines. Couldn't put awning out because it hit neighbors slide out. No room to set outside except by neighbors black hose. Never knew which picnic table was ours. The people that worked there were very nice, the Caverns tour was 10 if you stayed there. It was awesome.

Stayed here twice, once on the way out to the east coast and then on our return a couple of weeks later. Reasonably priced small campground. I had a pull through site both times. The staff was more than accommodating. Neat little gift shop on site. A definate gem!

Reviews from previous years are no longer valid. The staff was helpful & very welcoming. Bathhouse facilities while not new are clean & well kept. Cave tours daily & the gift shop is a fun look around as well. You won t be sitting outside with a beautiful lake view, but if you need a short stay facility with full hookup close to Salem, this is it! :)

This is an older park with long term and tent camping around the perimeter and 2 rows of pull through spots in the middle. The sites are very close together. The women's bathroom was old but clean. There were 3 showers (one was out of order) and two toilets. The host was very nice. We had full hookups and that all worked fine. We wouldn't stay here for a long vacation but it was fine for an overnight on the way to somewhere else.
By user-5237280... on 2019-08-09.
Smells terrible and the rusted out, old and decrepit full-time campers are deplorable and scary. So cramped out neighbor had to enter and exit his camper right at our sewer site. Never again.
By user-5421968... on 2019-08-09.
If you enjoy the smell of sewer outside your door... feel free to stay. The folks who run the place are GREAT. Very very nice people. That's about the only good thing I can say. Bathroom was clean, very outdated. Pull thru sites are VERY VERY cramped. My one slide almost touched neighbors awning. Had little choice as the sites are very narrow. Again... your neighbors dump hookup is just outside your door. For the price... wasnt worth it. I'll look elsewhere next time I'm passing through the area and need to stop for a night.
