Clean restrooms. A bit pricy for tent camping

We stayed over night. This RV park is one of the best. We've stayed in great to crappy ones. This park would be in our top 5. Beautiful and well maintained. Many activities, a long list of rules to keep it maintained and user friendly. Highly recommend.

Great park. Large and mostly shaded with mature trees. Well maintained!! Close to Springfield,Il sights. This would be a perfect location for group gatherings. Owners live on site. Highly recommend this site.

Very nice quiet park. Well maintained with super friendly owned and staff. Large level gravel pads with fire pit and picnic table. Clean shower house. Stayed 4 nights in Class A. Would have rated 5 stars had they not socked us an additional $40 for our 2 G'Kids staying with us. Thought that was B.S.! Close to Springfield to view the sights.

We stayed in our 42' MoHo pulling an extended cab F150, with an extended tow bar, which makes our total set up over 70' long. I called in early afternoon for a site for just overnight while passing thru to WI. Double J had sites that well fit our needs. When we arrived the staff was very friendly. The park itself was well groomed, lots of space for our Golden Retriever to exercise. It feels like out in the country but it's very close to several towns. If I owned an RV park it would be very much like the Double J. Will stay again for sure and recommend to friends!

Stayed here 8/12/2015. Nice park with lots of things to do if you are planning an extended stay. We were only here one night. Staff is very friendly and owners take pride in their park. Spots are a little close to your neighbor but would stay again. Stayed in a 38ft MH with a toad

We stopped by on our very first trip in our Class A MH to meet with other Fleetwood Discovery owners. While we only stayed one night, we thought the campground was very nice. The showers and bathrooms were clean, plenty of pull-thru sites which easily accommodate your coach and toad. The sites are close together but not on top of each other but as we later found out to be very important, the sites were fairly level which really helps during set-up. So although we only stayed one evening we thought the park was very well kept and felt the current ratings are justified. Thanks Double J we would love to stop back by if we are ever in the area!

Wife and I were stopping just for the night. We liked this park and decided to spend an extra night. Owners and hosts are very nice people.very clean and very well cared for park. Most all sites have large shade trees. Very clean tiled shower houses and restrooms. Pool, pavilions, shuffleboard, ping pong, huge bucket checkerboard. A great atmosphere for walking, talking and having fun. Lots of amentidies of children and adults. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Rating of 1 star due to rudeness of staff and lack of handicap accessibility. At time of check in confirmed our length of approx 45 feet (motorhome 38ft + mighty hauler& towed vehicle 8 ft), request for area with some shade & Direct tv satellite access. Personnel reviewed available site & assigned us N99. This site did NOT accommodate our length. Immediately disconnected towed vehicle & parked in open spot next to us while we set up so as not to block road. Facility personnel immediately on my husband TELLING him could not park there as site reserved, would not listen to my husband's comments of temp location while setting up (site remained unoccupied our entire stay). We have Handicapped placard on vehicle-- I had surgery with screws & pins inserted in both feet, unable to walk, must use scooter. My husband pulled car to door of motorhome for me to get in --personnel immediately descended on us, verbally abusive regarding tires on grass, attitude could care less about handicap issues. This occurred EVERY time I entered or left motorhome.

Thought the staff was friendly. Long, level gravel pull through sites. Good cable and WiFi. Didn't use restroom or laundry. Ez on off I-55.

This campground was a bit out of our way but we decided to go the extra mileage and we were very nicely rewarded! Beautiful campground, so well kept, clean and reasonably priced. Sites are very well spaced and have the healthiest green grass I’ve seen in a long time! Bathrooms are spotless and the campground has plenty of amenities (pool, playground, dog run, etc). Two downsides: the highway is close by and can be seen and heard (we didn’t have a problem with it because our air conditioner is so loud it drowns out all outside noise) and the laundry has only 3 washers and dryers, I think a campground this large should certainly have a bigger laundry! Otherwise this is a great place!

This is how all campgrounds should be run. The office staff when calling are very pleasant and helpful. Check-in was easy. They have a golf cart take you right to your spot. We were exhausted from a long day traveling and didn't leave the RV , but the pool area looked nice. The pull thru site was as advertised, a pull thru that you didn't end up having to unhook the tow. We will definitely be staying here again on our way back home.

The only Good Sams triple 10 campground in Illinois it s conveniently located to Springfield IL home to Abraham Lincoln s home, tomb, museum, and library. It s a nice campground with mostly pull through site. I complimented the owner on her bathrooms as they re actually nice than the ones at Ft Wilderness in Disneyworld. Our St Louis Winnebago club stayed here for the weekend and they couldn t have been more accommodating. A nice place owned by nice people.

This is NOT "just another RV park." This place, Double J is a true 5 STAR resort. The grounds are pristine. The sites are spacious and level with a tree and a lawn with a table. Or if you prefer open sky, they have that too. We were greeted the moment we arrived with a warm welcome and friendly instructions as to what to do, where to check in and promptly helped with filling our propane tank before being shown to our site, D-21. Liz in the office was friendly and cheerful, Larry took care of our propane needs. That was just the beginning of the most pleasant stay, ever! Most all of us have been in a park store. Double J's store had everything RV supplies, canned food, cookies, ice cream, hardware for minor repairs, fire wood that was delivered to our site - with a free hand made fire starter basket, sliced sandwich bread (I've never seen fresh bread in a park store) condiments and the list goes on. They have spotless showers and restrooms, laundry, a picnic pavilion, a life size checkers game using buckets as game pieces! Basketball, horseshoes, volleyball, and a playground. There's even an 18 hole route 66 theme miniature golf with rte. 66 photo backdrops! And not to forget the crystal clear swimming pool with plenty of poolside tables and chairs. Outback there's a mile long dog walk maze with a creek, bridges, and a small Dam. All of this and more just a couple of exits from Springfield, IL. The owners, Liz and Larry treated us like family. If you are looking for a family resort that's maintained and ran by a family, please look no further - you just found the most unique spot in all of Illinois. Thank you so much again and again, Phill and Gretchen, from California.

Friendly staff, lovely place. We were so tired, pulled in, got registered, ate and went to sleep. Next time I will check out the pool, and the grounds better. Made reservation on the phone, so registering at the office was done in 5 minutes. They don't take passport America.
