Loved it too much

Kids loved it so much we had to return back to it within the same trip. Fun for all ages. First time we were able to get site 60, on the south beach and infront of the inflatables...great site. Not so lucky second time, stayed in the route behind and further down towards the office. On site restaurant was ok and delivered to the site. Great for week long or more...especially for kids.

Nice and accomodating

We only planned to stay one night, but liked it so much we stayed one night more. There is a fitness room at no extra charge, the lake is great for the kids and there is a swimming pool. Pricewise very good. For such a big campground facilities were too far away and should be extended.

I have never seen a breed restriction list so long in my life. They blame the insurance company they use but don't name them.
Appears to have many full timers that run the show.
We visited and left. Will not return.

Great time

We had a great time at this park on our maiden adventure with our camper! Easy pull thru and hook up. Quiet evenings. Fun music performance on the weekend. We enjoyed the lake and beach area. Warm waterand Sandy bottom! The kids loved the water inflatables. Very friendly staff!

An older park, but well kept. Pleasant and comfortable environment just off I-295. A good-sized park with many sites away from the highway noise. Staff personnel were all very nice, helpful, and accommodating.

Extremely friendly staff and fellow campers. Lots of activities. Restaurant serves good food. (Especially if you like it fried). Three unique swimming holes, (including the pool) huge trampoline, playgrounds and live music (a little too country for us). Well worth the visit.

Cool campground. It's a great place if your local Military and you want to get away for the weekend from the hustle and bustle of living on base or in the surrounding Jax area. This place has nice beaches, pool, a restaurant, karaoke every Friday night, usually a band on stand every Saturday, and a nice little country store with anything you might need during your stay. No RV? That's ok. They have these things called YURTS, they are a big round tent that has heat and air conditioning. They have a big table in the center with about eight single bunks lining the walls. Great for a bunch of military guys to rent out for the weekend. Restroom and showers on site. Check it out. Beautiful lake with turtles, swimming and paddle boats. Full service Cafe with Karaoke and fantastic meals. Level sites with full hookup, most are pull- thru and big rig friendly. Office / Camp store fully stocked and reasonably priced. Bathrooms immaculate and comfortable. Every new arrival escorted to their site.

This time we stayed 2 days in the older section near the cafe. Had a superb time and met a lot of friendly people. Are we going to go back again? You betcha!

A Little Disappointing

This is a beautiful setting on a clear water lake. Our waterfront site was in “back 40” which has dirt roads with monster potholes and lots of dust from the road. It would be so easy to add some non-dusty gravel and fill the potholes. Many long term campers with their attendant “stuff” adding clutter to an otherwise beautiful park. Had some trouble with 50amp electric....one leg tripped my protector due to varying and low voltage.

Expensive, Crowded & Somewhat Noisy

I stayed here a few nights. Meh.
This park is right off the highway and you can see the highway from the back side of the park. I was in front and at times I could hear the road noise which is constantly a low dull noise during the day, and I was up front in the OF section.
Also, part of the park has narrow paved roads and the rest is unpaved. During any rain, the unpaved portion of the park gets muddy and nasty.
I didn t come for a view, but the lake in the park seems nice, if you are into that thing.
It seems like this place tries to do a lot of activities and that seems like a good way to socialize.
Parking here is kinda tight, so don t expect a huge lawn around you. This place has recently expanded with plans to expand again. I would question how fun that is going to be with so many people living closely in one place.
Lastly, its kinda expensive, even with a discount. It was over $100 for 2 nights at a park that is not close to much of anything with the exception that it is in Florida.

Stayed 2018-08-15 to 2019-02-03
Dirt, pot filled roads. Mud, mud ,mud. Have to deal with flooded sites and mud that ll make you slip and fall. No way to keep your TV or RV clean. Internet spotty at best. Seem to be more interested in making money than reinvesting in what they have. The shame is, nice place. Great Lake, good staff and great little cafe. Really tried to like it here.
