We stopped here for an overnight stay. It had large pull-thru sites that were mostly level. Very easy to get to from the freeway.

We travel I-81 frequently and almost always plan n overnight stay here. The pull-thrus are long so you don't have to disconnect your toad. The owners keep all facilities neat and clean. Even though convenient to I-81 exit 80, it's very quiet and peaceful.

Big sites , full hookups, great cable, and reasonable fee. Stayed 4/26/17

Close to interstate, friendly staff, level sites..ours was paved, good power and cable. Wi fi is decent. Good restaurant nearby. Flying J at the same exit. We travel in a 40' MH towing a PU.

Friendly staff, didn't use facilities. Level pull throughs, some with shade and concrete pads. Good cable and wifi. Close to Interstate without sound due to huge hill blocking road noise. $35/night with Good Sam's. Would definitely stay here again. Absolutely great for a stopover.

Stopped here a couple times to and from the races in Charlotte. Not a place I'd stay for several days. But great for getting a good nights sleep away from the highway. Nice folks there too.

The last time we stopped over in this area we stayed at the KOA. This CG has the KOA beaten big time. We stayed in #27, a big long pull-thru. Quiet and only a 1/4 mile off I-81 and a Flying J.

Nice park near I81. Full hook ups, large pull thrus, some shade. Clean, large bathhouse. We are in 30 foot coach towing a car. Would come back.

Older but clean and well maintained. Not a destination spot, but great for an overnight stop. Very quiet as the park is on the other side of a hill from the interstate.

Very helpful staff and all positive statements that have already been stated. We were surprised with the jets that flew over campsite. Not sure if that is usual, but interesting.

Stayed here Ina 36' 5th wheel. All sites are pull thru with full hookups. Great wifi and good cable. Great overnight stop, or staying for a few days . Heated pool, shade trees. Near the interstate but far enough away you don't hear the traffic. I will stop again when in area. $34.50 per night

Nice overnight stop. Sites are easy pull through and nice level pads. Park was clean. We did not meet anyone just left the fee in drop box (sign said 9am but no one was there). We will stay here again as we travel I81 a lot.

Clean spacious restrooms. Lots of shade. If your small enough, outback loop is very picturesque. Convienant to everything. Fort chiswell mansion just down the street has excellent food for a fair price. The whole package here.

Last night on the trail of a 49-day trip. This park was the dot on the exclamation point. Great facility, great location (fueled up), and a Dennys for supper and breakfast. Fair price too.

A great overnight stop or for longer if need be. The park is clean and the workers are always friendly and polite. The comfort stations are clean and well maintained.
By user-4941002... on 2017-10-23.
Good for the night. Hookups were in good shape. Some sites are concrete pads, others were muddy with the rain. Ask for the site you want, if available, they will accommodate. If you get in late, you can check in the next morning.

Great park for an overnight stop. Only $35 with Good Sam. Lots of mature trees, clean grounds, great service, even propane available at a good rate. Right off US 81 with no traffic noise. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice campground, convenient to interstate but far enough way to be quite. Level sites, nice large trees, small pond. I would stop here again.

We have been stopping here for years. Always clean, people are friendly. Not a bad experience here for the last 20 years.

We stayed here for a week, after seeing all the great reviews. We stayed in spot #26. Yes the spot was level and a pull through. However, the spots were extremely close together. The little strip of grass that was outside our door with an old picnic table, was more mud than grass. The camper beside us when their slide was out, was almost touching "our" picnic table. Trees? More like a cow pasture surrounded by trees with newly planted trees in a few areas. The pool with the slide is nice, however with the amount of camping spots that are here, they definitely need more than one small pool, especially when they let church groups use the pool. A church van drove up with about 30 preschool kids. Not to mention pool closes at 8pm and staff were running you out by 7:55. Bathrooms need major updating. You can't really get out of bathroom stall. Door swings in to get out of stall and hits you or the toilet. Game room and arcade are nice, bring $$. They also sell Hunt Bro pizza. The staff that work in that area really don't want to fool with you. It opens at 2:00, lady came in at 1:55, saw us waiting to order pizza. She proceeds to go turn on lights at bowling alley, and plays with several other things, then comes over and says oh the oven has to warm up for 15 minutes. Somebody didn't come in to warm it up. So come back in 20 minutes? It would have been warm by then had she came in and turned it on over playing with bowling alley. Also, didnt see much glove wearing and if you stand at food counter they ignore you or tell you to go order at the register where you pay to bowl. At the register, the guy says he doesn't know how to do it, and the girl that ran you off has to come ring you up. All in all, go down the road to Fancy Gap KOA. Much better employees, bathhouses, and atmosphere. We will not be back to this KOA.

We stopped here for one night and were very impressed. The sites were close together but there were trees and everything was very neat. The sites were graveled, easy to access, and dog friendly. It was reasonably priced, and we enjoyed the pool. We will recommend to friends and return ourselves!

This is a safe, spacious , reasonable overnight stop. At the intersection of Interstate 77 & 81. Attendants are snooty and uncaring but facilities are good, mostly level with several pull thru sites on stone or cement pads. Pool was too warm and lacked correct chlorine. Going through this area I would stop again if needed

This park is about ½ mile from I 81 in a country setting with grazing cows. The office is at the back of the park which is different. Just pass the RV sites and it will be straight ahead. Check-in was quick, easy and friendly. We circled around the bath house to get back to our site. The roads and sites are gravel. Most sites are pull thru and some have concrete pads. Our pad was large enough for the RV but not the tow vehicle. The concrete pad was almost dead on level. Sites are close with a strip of grass between. WII FI worked ok when we got there at 3PM but became useless by 7PM. Directv locked on in our site with no trees. Some sites have trees which may be a problem. Verizon was 4g 4bars. There are some long term RVs but the sites appeared well kept. It s not the prettiest park in the winter but maybe more eye pleasing when the trees have leaves. It is fairly quiet with the occasional drone of a tractor trailer from the I-81. We would stay here again.
By user-6636973... on 2019-08-09.
Very close to interstate and has some trees. Sites are level but pretty pricey in the winter when the pool isn't available nor is the good to fish.

Very convenient to I-81. Level lots with concrete so easy to use jacks. Nice clean bathrooms with large showers. Stayed 1 night in our 34 ft Class A motorhome

Nice level sites, some concrete pads. Good cable and wi-fi.
By user-5729521... on 2019-08-09.
Lots of pull thrus. Some concrete pads but limited shade. Rock gravel sites have much shade. Full hookups with cable, wifi and nice laundry room. Some eateries near by. Very popular RV park. Best to make reservations.

Several pull thru sites, some gravel, some concrete. Big rig friendly. Some shaded, some open with picnic table & patio. Pool open. Could b a base to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway. All utilities, 50amp available, all worked fine. Clean restrooms! Friendly staff. Would stay again.

If you stay more than a night you are put in permanent spots so tight to your neighbors you can hear them chew gum. These spots are tight in and out. Overnight spots appear bigger with easier access. Close to highway. People in office are pleasant. Lots of pull through spots
