Been all around the country and this is a very nice campground, for about $53 a night full hookup, this is camping in the woods
Have stayed here many times and always enjoy the many activities, level wooded sites, and great people. We keep coming back!
Heavily wooded, well-landscaped grounds, reasonably level gravel sites, very friendly and customer service oriented staff, lots of activities for children. Someone wasn't thinking when they sited many of the firepits, as several are annoyingly, even dangerously, close to power poles and adjacent trailers. But that's our only nit. 15 minutes from Gettysburg Battlefield National Historic Park, about an hour from Harpers Ferry. Well worth the trip. We'll be back.
Gettysburg is centrally located to Hershey; Amish Country; Washington, D.C.; Antietam; and Baltimore. Let the 2003 KOA Kampground of the Year be your host as you learn about one of the nation's most important Civil War battlefields. A nightly movie provides an overview of the town and battle. Bus tours depart from this KOA daily (in season) for the Gettysburg Battlefield or Washington, D.C. Explore on your own with a tape or CD, visiting such hallowed sites as Little Round Top, Devil's Den and Pickett's Charge. After a day of touring, relax at this quiet, naturally wooded campground. Enjoy the heated pool, nature trail, fun-bike rentals, shuffleboard, horseshoes, life-size games and mini golf. Weekend entertainment includes living history encampments, Civil War songs and stories, Civil War fashion show, ghost walks, wine tasting and pancake breakfasts.
