| Nicest Owners

By user-5844032... on 2017-10-23.

This is a great stop for one night. The owners are extremely nice, and very helpful. The Wi-Fi is the best we have ever had at a campground. We wanted a pull through site, and they told us that the pull throughs were right next to I-10, and it would be noisier. They told the truth but our sound machine pretty much drowned out the big rig noise. I would NOT stay here if it was raining! You turn off a paved road onto a sand packed road to enter the park. All sites are hard packed sand, but the owners furnished you with an outside floor mat. ☺ I would have given 5 stars but the lack of paved roads is why I could only give 4 stars.

| I-10 and 231 Campground

Great campground just off I-10 south on 231 in Cottondale, Fl. Several large Pull thru sites with easy access. Full hook ups 30 & 50 amp! Brought us a small carpet for entry door. Vonda even brought us a bag with six fresh laid brown eggs! This is a wonderful couple owned Park. Nice lake for fishing and some outdoor games to play! They accept Passport America 365 days a year for $25! Rest are $40 incl tax per night! No bath house or pool! Perfect for overnight while traveling East and West on I -10!

| New campground-awesome owners!

When you drive in, there is no office. You stop at the gazebo on the right and are immediately greeted by the nicest owners. They walk or drive you to your spot & help you back in so arriving after dark is not an issue. They also provide an outdoor mat to use while there. We built a nice fire in the firebox using the free wood the owners offered. SWEET! If your spot happens to not have a firebox, just let the owners know. They will find one for you. The spots are sand/gravel and ours was level (#2) and under shade trees, which we love. They also have sunny spots for those wanting to use satellite. We could receive about 18 OTA tv channels and wifi worked great! Easy access to Hwy 231 & I-10. There are TWO small dog parks (to separate large & small dogs) a small horse corral, volleyball/badminton net, horse shoes (the game) and a few other lawn games. They encourage people traveling with horses to stay (they even had a guest stay with a bull!). They also have a beautiful 3 acre fishing pond for anyone who enjoys fishing (they get their own fish there). The campground is surrounded by forest & nature. This is a new, very nice small campground. (appx 24 spots). The owners have put a lot of time & thought in to making you feel as comfortable as possible & go out if their way to accommodate you. The cost is $40 per night (inc. tax) and it was worth every penny. They do offer Passport America discounts but I don't know how much (we are not members). We loved our stay here and will definitely return when we can stay longer!
