Nice and clean
By user-5904348... on 2017-10-23.
Stayed 2016-09-02 to 2016-09-03
Nice, well-maintained, clean park with easy access to I-95. Cash or check only. Some road noise outside, which didn't bother us, but none inside.
No shade at our site, but some sites have a little shade. Our 50 amp, FHU, pull-thru site was asphalt and easily leveled. We had no trouble navigating the interior roads. Sites have plenty of space between to sit outside. Park surrounded by trees for a woodsy feel. Easy walk to Waffle House & DQ across the street. WiFi and cable were excellent. Friendly, easy check-in. We would stay here again. We stayed in a motorhome.

Park is clean. Restrooms clean. Maybe 8 spots not level, all others are. Easy in easy out. WiFi can be slow. The manager reminds me of Aunt B from Andy Griffith. She is very nice.

Makes you feel at home
By user-6132705... on 2018-03-14.
Really got lucky finding this place and them having a spot for some long-term stay! Must say that our TT is still there with our son, since apartments are over the top expensive on Saint Simon’s Island. We stayed the 1st weekend, while he remains there. He said it is quiet, which allows him to get studying done for a class he has to finish up, people are friendly, with a watchful eye on the comings and goings in the park. He is backed up to the water, which makes a nice view from the living room window. You can hear traffic from 95 when you are walking the pups, but not anything unbearable, and you don’t hear it while inside. Brenda is quite pleasant, as is her daughter, April. Brenda’s husband, (sorry, I’ve forgotten his name) is quick to help resolve a problem (30amp didn’t work when we arrived, but did the following day), so all is great! We were just there this past weekend again, and it was just as great!

Wintering in Darien
By user-5851582... on 2019-08-09.
This is a nice, secure campground off I95 at the Darien exit. The place is well maintained and all the spots are paved. They offer 50 and 30 amp service with sewer, water, and cable at all the sites. They also offer WiFi. There is a bath house and laundry adjacent to the registration office and both are kept very clean. Wife and I stayed from Dec 13 thru about Mar 5th. There are certain things we would highly recommend people staying there do: 1. Eat at Skippers (a good place for shrimp and seafood) 2. Take a ride up either 95 or 17 and eat at Altman s in Eulonia. Nothing fancy, buffets on weekends, but probably the best home cooking we ve experienced in Ga! Friday s and Saturday s they have a seafood buffet with local shrimp and seafood, all you can eat, along with filet mignon.
There s also a fantastic tour of the Altamaha River. This river is listed as one of the last 75 great places on earth and Capt Howard Browning is the man you want to go with. The man grew up on the river and is passionate about it as well as very knowledgeable about the history of the area. You won t regret it!
Back to The campground, the only negatives we experienced is the WiFi isn t very good, the floors in the bath house very tile and, when wet, down right dangerous. I spoke with the owner and I believe she will take care of this. Lastly, our spot was one of the only ones that couldn t accommodate our trailer and car despite there being open spots that could have. Never did understand the method of assigning spots. All in all it s a nice place and we would stay there again (if there s a spot open)

Will not be back. Step out onto mud and fire ants galore. Everything else was okay. Oh, yeah! I95 was very loud and hard to get back to sleep. Will not return. $42. Cash or ckeck. They do not mention that when making your reservation.
