Camp under 200 year old oaks a stones throw from Johnny Appleseed's grave site. Great hosts. Next door to coliseum. St Joseph River boat ràmp. Spotless bath and laundry areas. Stayed 2 weeks.

Very convenient small park on the St Joe river
By user-5799595... on 2017-10-23.
Very nice small park near many malls in Fort Wayne. Behind the Coliseum with a new dog run. Showers and toilets very clean. Dump station is right outside toilets. Mostly shaded campground with relatively level gravel parking including a picnic table and fire ring. Super friendly and helpful hostess.

Fort Wayne's Best Kept Secret
By user-5850267... on 2017-10-23.
I don't even want to leave a review because this campground is usually sold out when I'm going through Fort Wayne! This is a hidden, quiet gem right off of Coliseum Blvd. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. I stayed around a month as I kept extending my time until they legitimately couldn't extend it any further because it was 100% booked. The facilities are immaculate (cleaned daily by FW Parks Dept). Laundry machines do a good job. The park is nice and it's right off River Greenway access. Nearby everything you need in Fort Wayne. And the prices are affordable! Only drawback is that they don't have sewer sites. However, they have a pump truck and dump station.

Pretty little campground right in the city but easy to get to. Big trees, surprisingly quiet. Nice walks near the river and off by Johnny Appleseed's grave. Huge dog park on site, $2 per dog, have proof of vax on hand. Staff friendly. Pull thru fit our 32 ft class C with Jeep toad.

Great hosts!

Stayed 2016-08-03 to 2016-08-04
This time I settled for overflow parking ($16) since every time I pass through FW this CG is full. The hosts went out of their way to drive me to the area next to the road where they have a pole with two 30amp plugs.
Instead, they hooked me up in the shade near the front and brought me a 50amp extension cord. The road is a secondary one and sees minimal traffic; mostly runners.
The best part of this CG is the dog parks that are within walking distance. They are big, clean, and have water fountains. Pay $2 and you get the code.
The pictures make this tiny CG look much larger than it is, but being on the edge gave me lots of elbow room. The laundry works well and and it was a really nice respite from the heat.

We love this RV Park. Stayed a week and this was our second stay at Johnny Appleseed Campground and we'll come back again. What a hidden treasure in the city. Park is clean and the camp hosts are very helpful. Great place to ride you bikes.

Great stop on our way home.

Nice little park. Far enough off I69 to get away from traffic and road noise but still convenient. We called ahead and arrived after closing time but found our spot and settled in for restful night. Really nice bath house. Didn't use laundry water or dump station. Would definitely stay again. Only $22 for the night.

Small campsites

Stayed 2019-08-02 to 2019-08-03
Lot of traffic at night. Campsites were small. The site we were at had shared water. Which was weird never delt with that before. Not complaining because it was very adequate for $22 a night. Good for overnight stay . It was well kept and clean. Staff was really nice. Had a great place to fish. Had a pretty picnic area. Would stay again.
