Very friendly staff. If you come in late, your paperwork is waiting for you. When you arrive you see your name on the board. It's nice to know they're expecting you. The sites are level and are raked every day.

Great visit
By user-5894523... on 2017-10-23.
We stop here every time we come through. Easy access, great hosts and love the pool. Even the dogs enjoy the dog wall area. We camp in our 5th wheel. Very clean and tidy. Great view too.

Dusty with great views.

Everything is gravel and the daily harrowing of sites and roads stirs up regular dust clouds that permeate EVERYTHING. The sites are snug, but it is possible to open all slides.
The staff were friendly, the facilities were clean and the view overlooking Las Cruces, La Mesilla and the surrounding mountain ranges was fabulous.

Except for they restricted bandwidth on their wifi. Not good for those that stream instead have TV or sattelite. Facilities were nice and clean.

Rude Owners, hilly,dusty park
By user-5779477... on 2017-10-23.
We arrived at 6pm after a long day of driving. Planning on taking it easy, relax in the pool and chill for a week. We checked, (check in is on a hill). Went to our site, very windy on top Of a hill away from town. Got set up and went to look at the pool. All locked up with chains on it. The park staff said they just closed it today and even they did not know the heated pool was closed for the season. I said the pool was the only reason we chose this park. The work campers were super nice and said if we decide to leave in the first hour we will not have a penalty. We left quickly to see where we could go. We called the KOA and said we were leaving and J said you are within your hour by 2 min. So he checked us out and we headed back to get our rig. Owner called and said, "you have not physically vacated the premises so you have to pay tonight. I said I am at the exit and will be there in a minute. She was being told what to say by a man in the background. The owner and the background voice was rude, uncaring, and would not let me speak. I asked who was giving her advice and she said she was checking in a guest. She was not we were right by the office and it was closed and dark. NEVER again will we be back. Yes the rest of our nights were refunded but what a horrible experience. No grass, hilly, windy and pool when they feel like it!

Pretty good park, but narrow sites
By user-5515726... on 2017-10-23.

This is a pretty typical KOA park... very clean and neat, had play area for kids and dogs, and decent amenities. It had terrific views, if you are in the sites facing Las Cruces. Also, the WiFi was pretty good most of the day.
On the negative side, the sites were narrow. We didn't have enough room to have a picnic table next to our motorhome.

Great view, clean campground

We stayed at the Las Cruces KOA for four nights in a 39' fifth wheel. We had a pull-through site that was level and had concrete tracks for the tires and landing pads. The connections were placed conveniently. Our only complaint with the site was that it was the narrowest we've ever had. When we extended our awning, it blocked entry into the neighboring site. We used the overflow parking area to park our second vehicle since there was no room for it at our site. On a more positive note, the campground was very clean and the view was great. The KOA sits on a hilltop and overlooks the city of Las Cruces and the Organ Mountain. The office staff were friendly and helpful.

Not up to KOA standards
By user-6450859... on 2017-10-23.
A few sites around the edge have stunning views of Las Cruces below and the mountains beyond...but the center and back sites are just a crowded parking lot. FHU-everything worked fine; huge cable TV line-up, "dog park" was "ok", with shoddy fencing. Used it first day, until I discovered a HUGE hole in the back, partially hidden by large rocks. A 50-60 lb dog could EASILY escape! Reported it to management, who seemed unaware of its presence!
Don't know if it was repaired, so check before you let your fur baby run free in there!

Typical?
By user-6646755... on 2018-05-17.
This CG is a tight fit for really big rigs with several slides. Dusty roads with gravel but most sites also have concrete for your tires.
Restrooms are clean but the handicap shower/toilet area is horrible. There is no way this would pass an inspection by the ADA inspectors!

More than I expected

Workers very friendly.
Campground extremely clean.
Pull through sites seemed a little tighter than some of the better back in view sites but still had enough room.
Gravel sites...gravel everything..But the pull through's had concrete for your tires.
The view of the city is nice, especially at night when you can see the lights.
Would stay here again.

Amazing sunsets

Nice welcome with your name on board outside the office. The staff was friendly and efficient. The interior roads and sites are a mix of dirt and small gravel which, yes, follows you inside with a vengeance. It was a quiet park which is a big positive. Our site was fairly level most sites on the perimeter looked about the same. The interior sites varied. Some were level some were not. Saw a couple of RV s on blocks. Site spacing depends on the site. Some were pretty close while others were fairly spacious. Our site was long enough for the motorhome, and we parked the car next to it. The cable worked with a few fuzzy channels. Directv worked fine (until the wind knocked it around). Verizon was 4g 1 bar but we were still able to use our hotspot. Which was good because we could not use WII FI. It kept dropping us. The water had a weird taste and left water marks on faucets and glass. We purchased several gallons of water to drink. There are lots of roaming cats (but hey, they keep the rodents under control!) and birds that like to peck on the roof. Not their fault but the wind blew almost constantly while we were there like hurricane force. It blew dirt everywhere both vehicles were filthy. Sites 10-29 have the best view (and utilities on both sides). What a view at night amazing sunsets and then the sparkling lights of Las Cruces. There are several public areas set up that anyone can visit to take pictures. The park is convenient to downtown and various hikes in the Organ Mountains. It s a bit on the pricey side but we would stay here again if we have one of the view sites. The views are what would draw us back.
