Clean campground with easy access
By user-4853773... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed there Memorial day weekend. Was a last minute decision and they has few spots left. We were on site 79 in a 30ft travel trailer. Sites were level but very close to each on the section we were in. Not complaining, just informing. Sites 71-83 are pretty close, your awning in some cases almost touch your neighbor. Any other sites in the campground are large to very large. We had a great time, and the staff had a hot dog cookout for everyone in the park. Super nice folks that take pride in their Park. Definitely going back.

First Timer
By user-5786125... on 2017-10-23.
I recently stayed at Mayberry Campground. I had just purchased a small travel trailer 30 miles south of here and was trying it out for first time. Staff was very helpful. Lot I stayed on was fairly level and easy got me to set up camper. Hookups easy but although they upgraded wifi I still had problems. Could have even just me. Will be going back.

Great Family Campground
By user-5791059... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed here by accident a few years ago because we couldn't get in the site in a other campground. We love this place and stay here several times each year. Sometimes for a weekend sometimes for a night on the way to another destination. Some of the sites are smaller, but they are usually for smaller campers. They do reservations. They also have a few other customer appreciation dinners with beans and corn bread and just what the owner feels like. Everyone there is nice. This park was built with a lot of "blood, sweat, and tears". If you are disappointed then you probably don't need to be camping!

This is probably our sixth time to stay in this park in our 36' Fifthwheel and have always enjoyed our stay. Nice staff and meticulously kept grounds and sites. Near downtown Mt. Airy (Mayberry fame) near gas , I-77 , food and etc.

great place
By user-5540367... on 2017-10-23.
site 7. able to accomodate my 43 DP with towdolly and car attached and still fit our other vehicle(f150). cable, 50/30/20, sewer all for a low price. Mayberry is not a joke. Even the KFC in town honors the famed tv show (ask your parents).

Very nice park
By user-6111939... on 2017-10-23.
This park is very clean and well run. The only reason I didn't give it a five star is there is little to no shade and no pool for the summer months. That being said, the sites are well laid out with lots of grassy areas. Every site has it's own fire ring and there are several common areas. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Really nice campground
By user-5122229... on 2017-10-23.
Beautiful area and really easy to find. Close the down town Mount Airy but still away far enough you can enjoy the quiet. And for the price you can't go wrong. Big sites.

In camp grounds...bathrooms not maintained or clean
By user-5010438... on 2018-03-14.
Stayed 2017-12-29 to 2018-01-01
Stayed there Dec 28th - Jan 1st. Bathrooms were not clean on arrival and didn't have any toilet paper. That is pretty slack. Bathrooms were not cleaned next day then only cleaned after I left message, but still weren't clean too me.

Hidden Gem

Stayed 2018-02-03 to 2018-02-04
Clean, modern facility. Wide open lots, flat level compacted gravel lots. Did not use any facilities, parked the rig and used hook ups for washing clothes. The public roads are wide enough for the modern big rig towing 4 down as well. Friendly staff they honored military service discount, not Goodsam or Passport America as we only stayed one night.

Quiet, friendly campground
By user-5213101... on 2018-05-17.
Stayed 2018-05-14 to 2018-05-10
Nothing fancy, big-rig friendly. Easy to navigate, large full hook up sites, several pull thrus. Plenty of room for our Class A, 45ft Entegra motorhome. Pavilions for rally groups. Easy to reach Blue ridge parkway, very nice motorcycle riding. Open sites, no shade, satellite no problem. Only reason this is a 4-star is roads & sites are all gravel creating lots of dust! Would return if in the area.

Great spot
By user-6475549... on 2019-08-09.
This is 1 of the best spots we have stayed. We evacuated from a hurricane and they were able accommodate us for 6 days, 1 day at a time till we could return home. There is a lot of thing to do in the are. We will stay again when we pass through.

Stayed 2018-11-26 to 2018-11-28
Recommended on Snowbird Trail site so we gave it a whirl and so pleased we did! Big rig friendly, dog friendly and close to the historic district of Mt Airy. Stayed 2 nights using Passport America..so reasonable! Only wish...a gated dog area.

Great views, spacious, level spots and a friendly staff make it well worth the drive down to Winston-Salem each day to see the grandchildren. Enjoyed Mt Airy, as well.

Neat & Easy
By user-4552469... on 2019-08-09.
Easy in and out for our 40 ft Newmar. All major hook ups on a level pull through gravel pad. Great views.
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
Nice staff. Sites are flat. Sunny campground. Good location. If you use a pull through site, park your car in back. They use an odd set up where the front isn t a through road from one end to the other. Laundry clean and machine s worked.
