Pricey for what it is.

Late checkin: envelopes, a board with open site numbers, but no maps. Fortunately we had found one on their web site (though not a menu choice on their site) and so made do without. Tried out a few different sites to find something close enough to level.
One shower used had reversed hot and cold water, a safety issue. Other shower used was right out of M*A*S*H, with a pull rope for water, no temperature control.
Expensive for the region, but not much else in the area so that has some impact I suppose. Looks like it'd be nice for kids with a nice waterfront on a small, man-made lake.

My hubby and I are traveling RN’s and stayed here for several weeks in one of the long term spots. We LOVED it, to this day it’s the best park we’ve ever stayed at. All the amenities you could want, hiking trails, pool, laundry, and really great people who run the place. We’ll be back for sure!

This was our first stay as an Rv'er. I'm not the expert by any means. Great sites and plenty of room. We were on spot 48 with a great view of the lake. Be sure to bring your swim suit and fishing pole.
I think the camp is under new management.
The campground is a little worse for wear, but functional. Friendly staff with no hassles to be had.

Once you get to the property it is nice. Though the road to get there was a little rough on the RV. Some potholes felt the size of the Grand Canyon. The property also has speed bumps. I know these have a good purpose but were also a bit much for the RV. The staff was polite when I made the reservation and even left a late check in information for us. The property was quiet and remote. We changed our plans and stayed two nights. I would stop there again,

Back here again. One of the best campgrounds. Real friendly seasonal campers here. Just a great place to camp with kids. Lots for them to do.

Cute campground, great location
By user-6620284... on 2018-05-17.
This campground is in a great location near Lynchburg and Appomattox. You are near lots of dining, shopping, and historical places. The road to the campground is very narrow and rough...badly needs repairs. The campground itself is very nice with large sites and friendly staff. Sites are full hookups but no WiFi or cable. Nice lake with swimming and fishing. They also have a pool. Playground is decent and the grounds are well maintained. The game room is a good size with arcade machines. The laundry room had no working dryers....both were out of order. The bathhouse needs work and the two showers I took were ice cold with no water pressure. Price is expensive but we would come back when in the area. Overall it’s a beautiful campground with a few minor flaws.
