Nice campground, great location
By user-5773408... on 2017-10-23.
Beautiful campground right next to a park with a half mile walking path the goes along the river and easy access walking to shops and restaurants. Campground is huge but off season we were able to get a great site without anyone near us. Bathhouse and restrooms up to date and a new huge bathhouse is under construction. Laundry facilities are excellent. This is one of the best KOAs I have stayed at. Highly recommend if you come to Pigeon Forge. Nice staff very accommodating.

This is a very nice campground. Is is close enough to the attractions without being to close. They have a nice pool and a descent playground. The air mattress is s loved by the kids. We loved this place. Showers are clean and great pressure on shower heads.

Loved this one. It's kind of secluded but close to everything. Don't stay in 10-12 for starters they are not level and my diesel pusher was way too big for the site. The staff was nice and gave me a discounted upgrade. They are upgrading the camp ground with paved sites that are very nice.

Nice!
By user-5320035... on 2017-10-23.
We recently stayed for a week. The staff are very helpful and friendly. This campground has lots to do and is next to Patriot Park. The trolly stops out front regularly. We've already reserved a site for next year.

Nice KOA.....follow up

Forgot to add one thing that was a big disappointment for me.....
WIFI.....it was terrible! It is 2016 and we live in a technology era. A lot of folks work on the road and it is the same for me. I can work while I travel with my laptop, tablets and phone. I thought for sure that being a highly recommended KOA that it would have great WIFI.....but it didn't.
It was usable only certain times per day, and even then it was slow.

Crowded
By user-5474055... on 2017-10-23.
Very crowded, on top of one another. Stayed one night. Small pool, but had a Jacuzzi.

Very clean and in walking distance to the old mill area. Sites were a bit close, but lauded out well to make up for it.

People Charge
By user-5771245... on 2017-10-23.
On top of the charge for the site you also pay for each person in your party above the husband/wife. My father in law was charged $4.00 per day and my daughter $2.00 per day. Did not experience this in any other KOA we stayed at.......yet

Pigeon Forge KOA
By user-5771245... on 2017-10-23.
Great KOA. Sites are a bit tight especially if you have trucks or toads sticking out of their sites. Trolley to Dollywood picks you up out front on the Main Street for $.50 each way per person. Friendly staff, level sights with concrete pad, nice pool/jacuzzi, and dog park.

Good overall
By user-6093696... on 2017-10-23.
We liked the campground overall, but a couple of problems knocked them down to 3 stars. The bathhouse was very clean and was well kept up. The bathroom near the pool smelled very bad. The pool was great. The showers had great pressure and plenty of hot water. The sites were pretty close together. The cable channel guide was incorrect in the campground booklet they gave me. I went to the campground office the next day and mentioned that the channels didn't seem to be right. They handed me a sheet of the correct channel name and number. Why would they not do that to start with??? We would stay here again though.

Nice KOA

As a quick summation of our visit, I was pleased with our stay and the amenities of the campground.
In greater detail, I was originally disappointed when we waited 30 mins in line to check in to wait behind an arrogant guy in a MH towing a trailer. There was one main road in to our site and he couldn't back in to his site with his trailer. He was speaking to a KOA staffer for about 35-45 mins before I couldn't take it anymore. I nicely asked him if he could make a loop around to let me and the others that were backed up behind me by. It was about 5 mins later by the time he finally moved. It was exactly 6:50pm when we pulled into the KOA, and it was 8:00pm when we were backing into our site. Needless to say I was a bit frustrated.
We had booked a "deluxe" site there and now I am super glad I did. I would NOT do it any other way. The standard sites are very tight and difficult to back in with a big rig. Our site was 179 and was neat, clean and level from side to side. It was easy to back in my 35' travel trailer in the first shot. The site offered a nice patio area with a grill, chimnea, and a 6 seat patio table. The only negative (and a small complaint) was it sloped downward quite a bit. By the time I leveled my unit, it was a large first step even with an additional folding step that I usually carry with us. My problem is with outdoor kitchen, when I have to raise the front so high to level, the standing height at our outdoor kitchen is so low especially for me being 6'3". Like I said, small complaint. I highly recommend spending the extra few dollars for a deluxe site! You won't regret it. The sites have so much more room. The only drawback was we were near a noisy road with lots of motorcycles and sirens all day/night. The only saving grace was our air conditioner drowned out the sounds at night.
As far as the amenities, the pool was small but nice, clean and well kept. The zero entry kiddie pool was great for my 2 year old daughter. The jumping pillow was the biggest hit and the one thing that will definitely bring us back. She absolutely loved it. They also had daily "train" rides and wagon rides which was also a big hit for her.
The bathhouses were "ok", but not great. I've seen better. We really didn't use them much so it wasn't a big deal.
Lastly, regarding the staff....everyone was super pleasant and friendly.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. This campground has lots to do and is next to Patriot Park. The trolly stops out front regularly to take you to Dollywood. Also trolleys to take you to other sites. Right next to the river. Dog friendly. Very clean. Site was level. A little pricey but you are close to everything

Close to everything but cramped spots

Stayed 2018-08-07 to 2018-08-09
Close to everything and you can ride the trolley into town for 50¢ per person. Regular sites with parents and 3 kids hits $70 per night and it is the smallest site I have ever stayed at. I had to back the end of the RV over the bushes and the slide outs went out over the water connections. I guess I will live with that so I have acess to the trolley and close to town.

Best location in Pigeon Forge for getting around.

Pretty noisy, but otherwise fine on premium sites. We are in a 37 ft. Class A. We had a problem with the electric, called and a maintenance man came immediately and replaced the 50 amp breaker. We are in the newest section. We were told we would get a free night this weekend, but because there is a car show this weekend, they are not honoring that. Pretty disappointing.
We have a beautiful site, but it is about $100 per night.
