Nicely kept- not a typical RV park. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Lots are gravel and not completely level however the scenery is worth it. 4 ponds to choose from for fishing. A freight train borders one side of the property and veterans highway is positioned on the other but the noise didn't bother us at all. If you enjoy waking to a rooster and watching horses run, I would recommend it. 10 mins to Rivet

This is by far the best RV park in Savannah. The staff is beyond awesome and the grounds are perfect.

Friendly & very nice staff. Lovely & beautiful & quiet plantation sitting. Showers need help. Close to downtown Savannah. Eat at Lady & Sons loved it & Joe's at River walk was good too The trolley tour is a must & it will come to campground to pick you up & bring you back. Has a nice clubhouse with cable in it

We were lucky to get a site here because many of the state parks were closed after Hurricane Matthew. We had a great site next to the Clubhouse overlooking the duck pond. It was a 50 amp site, but they loaned us an adapter plug. It was only a ten minute drive into downtown Savannah, but you could take a shuttle/tour bus too. It's a well groomed park, but the showers inside the office building could use some deep cleaning. We never got the wifi to work, and the laundry was closed--both apparently due to the hurricane, so I'll give them a pass on that. You will probably hear two or three trains at night. Even so, this is probably the most convenient place to stay near Savannah.

Wonderful RV Site, people very nice and helpful. I was running late to pull into my site and the very friendly lady over the phone told me she would have my check in package inside the office if I didn't see her till in the morning. I got to the site and didn't being a 3 to 4 convert plug. They loaned me one to use during my stay. Great people and quite site.

We have been to 11 campgrounds in the last 5 weeks and this is far above all of them for our coach pulling a trailer. We have paid more than double at a cement spot touting to be the best. This roomy country spot fits our needs, good wifi, a view of water, sunshine so get satellite, close to historic sites and shopping, laundry, clubhouse. Easy access, nice folks. The union and Confederates stayed at this 260 acre plantation during the Civil war. Beautiful old trees. $41 with good sam, $800/ mo.

This park was nice enough. Mainly a large field to park in with FHU. I would have given it 4 stars except for the odd chemical smell every morning. I could find nothing in the area that explained it. My neighbor said it was the swamp nearby. I have camped near swamps before and never smelled that.

Stayed for 4 nights on site#B3...FHU, excluding cable, with no issues. Very friendly staff, great pool and fishing ponds. If u r looking to just relax and enjoy scenic farm views this is the place. Beautiful property!!! Plan on returning.

About 20 campsites located on a large farm property. Pool, playground, lakes and lots of wide open space. Beautiful setting. We would not hesitate to return.

This is a nice, smaller park with a pool. WiFi was unreliable but fairly fast when it worked. Pretty calm and quiet, other than the occasional emergency vehicle on hwy. Site was not very level (had to use 4.5” of blocking on 1 side to level fifth wheel). Not all sites appeared to be as unlevel. Ample room in sites. Easy in and out. Would stay again.

This an estate with walking trails, ponds, and more. The is a laundry room, exercise room, and pool. While there, I saw constant maintenance, painting , etc. I mention this as a positive. Would absolutely stay here again. Just wish it had a pickleball court :-)

Ok. Stinks in the mornings. Laundry room is HORRIBLE!! !! Takes two hours to dry one small load and is VERY RUN DOWN AND DIRTY! Sites are muddy. Won't stay there again

We stayed here for 2 nights in January, it was a clean park easy to get into and out of. It is just a short uber ride to downtown Savanah. The staff we met were very friendly, we did notice a slight smell in the morning also but I didn't feel it was that bad, we stayed outside by the fire pit late at night and d isn't notice it then. We would stay here again if in the area.

This is an amazing campground. They have about 200 acres of property that includes horse pastures, with horses & goats, a lake, barns and of course the RV campground. They have approximately 21 campsites so there is lots of room between and around the campsites. They have a big field that most of the campsites sit around. The field is about half the size of a football field. They have areas for weddings and parties. They have a horse barn that they turned into a reception/dining area. Unlike most campgrounds that limit where you can go, especially with animals and homes of the owners on the property there are no off-limit signs or fences to keep you out. We were able to walk through the reception barn, walk past the owners homes, walk down to the lake ( they say there are alligators in the lake but all I saw were geese, turtles and the two bass I caught - it's a catch & release lake). The staff were really friendly. This is a great, very relaxed and quite campground. Definitely recommend it and would definitely come back if in the area. It's also close to downtown Savannah.

We booked a week’s stay at this beautiful place over the 4th of July weekend. On our way to the campground we encountered a catastrophic malfunction with our Class A. We were forced to cancel our stay on the day we were scheduled to arrive. We were given understanding and concern for our situation. We were refunded our deposit and not charged any fees. We certainly would have understood if we were charged since the week was over the July 4th holiday. This is a clear indication of their sincere care for their customers. We will definitely stay at this super Campground as soon as we can. Plan a stay here. You will not regret it.

This would be a great campground to stay at with children. All sites are grass, dirt and some gravel and are level. Highly recommend requesting a site backed in by the trees. All other sites are next to the dirt road and could be very dusty. It's a small campground. Not all power outlets have disconnect breakers and some sites share the same power source. When I was disconnecting in the morning I unknowingly shut off the power to the site next to me. No cable TV but we pulled in enough over the air stations. I doubt we'll return. To me the power situation could be dangerous.

This is a horse farm. Very over priced for amminites, $55 for full hook ups, on a gravel site with no trees except around the border. Allow extra time to check in due to the slow process and management. Nothing to justify the high rate.

What a great find for us, was looking for a place close to Savannah and by chance found this place. Great small campground, great staff, clean campground, and very good wifi. Spaces are good size and pretty level. Looks like we found a place to stay on our way from PA to Florida each year. Job well done!

This is our 3rd time here. It's a beautiful piece of property. However, they have squeezed additional sites in. There used to be more room between the sites. We were charged an additional $10.00 for early check in even though our site was empty. They do take Good Sam discount.

Perfect location to sightseeing in Savanah, 10 minutes to downtown. Gravel/grass sites. No tv but WiFi was terrific. Staff friendly.
By user-6106911... on 2019-08-09.
Very nice park. Everything you would want including farm animals! Staff was friendly and informative. Sites are grass or gravel and level. Lots of room for big rigs. Trolly tour pickup and drop-off in the park.

Beautiful, unique experience. 400 acres, 300 year old Oak trees with Spanish Moss everywhere, looks like a storybook! Only a few sites so not crowded at all. 5 lakes, horses and goats. Some of the smaller sites are under the massive Oak trees, beautiful! We stayed for one night in Overflow parking. We are 75' long with coach and trailer, plenty of room, but no hook ups. Ground was hard and dry with grass. The regular sites have crushed coral pads. We did not use the pool, bath house or laundry. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. I only give 5 stars to Resorts. This park doesn't have super fancy amenities but its beautiful and unique. Love it.

I wanted to share with everyone about a great experience we ve had staying at Red Gate Campground in Savannah. It s family owned and like the rest of Savannah it has a lot of history. Richard, the great grandson of the original owners gave us an amazing tour of the property on his golf cart and gave a full historical perspective of the family property. We found it so informative we encouraged him to start setting up tours. He directed us to all the great eateries and watering holes in Savannah, which did not disappoint. For those who don t have a toad it s only about a $10 Uber ride. Our two families have fallen in love with this city. We only wish it hadn t been quite so hot.
