Okay, this is oil country and options are limited. With that noted, this is not a bad option...all things considered. Let's start with the daily rates. $45 for full or $28 elec only. $17 for water and sewer? How is that number justified? I am one person...how much of either can I possibly use? I can understand the national average of $5 - $10 difference, but $17?? The lady in the office must have come up with that number. (You will understand after you wait for her to calculate your stay and enter it.) To be fair, they do offer a 10% Good Sam discount and that is appreciated. There is a laundry room with six units of each at $2.25 for washers which did not get my new white towels clean, even with a cup of bleach and Gain Oxy. (Regular soil...not oil.) It will take about the same amount to get your clothes dry at .25 cents per 5 minute cycle. The sites are mostly gravel with some puddle issues if it rains, so have a look at your site first. There are some nicely mowed areas in front and a little trail cut through the river area to stretch your legs. The grounds are kept up nicely...all things considered. The park is comprised of mostly long term workers which seem to be stationed to the left and rear. Most of the transients are parked to the right of the office. There is a lot of coming and going, so the noise level is higher than most, but that is to be expected in truck country. Minot offers about half of the amenities that one is accustomed to and those are relatively a short drive away. Most of the people at the campground seem to mind their own business and I did not witness any of the drunken nonsense that one may expect from a place named as such. Other than parking the ugliest and oldest of campers at the entrance of the park, the owners seem to care about taking care of their property. Other than the rate discrepancy, this is a nice place to stay if one has to be in Minot...all things considered.

We stayed one night with a pull through spot. Very clean, manicured grounds. A lot of long term working families. Quiet night..mature trees and many birds singing. Only downside- pay showers- so used our own facilities.
