We were told they could accommodate a 45'. Newell Coach. Well, tried 3 spots before we fit into a handicapped spot (Not cool). Nice people but unless you are really good at tight spots, steer clear!
The Wilderness Campground is in a wooded setting with nice sized and spaced out sites. The check-in staff is very friendly and there is a store with enough items to throw together a hearty meal or just pick up something you forgot. There is a large game room and a pool. The bathroom/shower houses are very clean with modern amenities. There is also a large playground with wood chips for safety. Every site has a fire ring/grill and a picnic table. As is so with all SDC businesses, the Wilderness is a great place for young families to empty nesters and retirees.
My daughter and I made a trip to Silver Dollar City and we decided to camp and make it an extended trip instead of day run. We had a great campsite (tent). It was quieter than I was expecting - the other campers were very polite and kept the noise down. I have been to other camping areas and wild parties thru the night kept everyone up but that didn't happen the weekend we were there. We rode the shuttle to SDC and it was well worth it not to have to fight traffic, getting a place to park and then shuttle to the entrance. They drop you off and pick you up at the entrance to the park - great after a long, fun day at SDC... The staff was very friendly and helpful and everything was clean and well maintained. Will definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone I know.
