We enjoyed our stay at Skidaway, but the only amenity they don't have which Is listed here is the pool. The park rangers take really good care of the place.

Staff pleasant, laundry facilities are at each "comfort area" but there is a great need of light bulbs, many burned out and need replacing. Clean showers, paved roads.

This is our favorite campground in our cross country travels. The sites are huge and private. There is tons to do in the area. Get a crepe at All Things Chocolate on the way to visit Fort McCallister (an amazing historical park with tons of unique photo ops).

Large shaded sites. Several walking trails into the marsh area. Helpful park rangers. Would come again.

Big sites level and wooded for shade. We paid $30 for 30amp and water. There is a playground for kids too. Nice hot showers and clean. 10 miles from town with easy access.

This is a very nice place. Our 50 amp, FHU, spacious site was a horseshoe pull-thru. Lots of trees for shade and privacy. Plenty of room to walk the dog. Quiet place, but we were there during the week. Easy, friendly check-in. Our site had limited cable channels, but no WiFi. WiFi is at park office. Good Verizon service. Will stay here again.

For being a state park campground this is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in. The site are semi- private, you can see your neighbors but they are not right on top of you. We stayed in the water, electric and cable sites which is U shaped drive. The drive was big enough for a long trailer. The sites have a dedicated area for tents, picnic table anf fire ring. The full hook up site are very long, you could put easily put two big rigs on it. We plan on staying here again when we are in the area.

Campground: July 2017. Me, hubby, and Mickey, our 6lb Pom. This is our second stay at a GA state park this month (from SC), so we purchased the "Family Membership" for $80.00. That will pay for itself in one weekend visit, not to mention the additional discounts that come with it. This was a last minute trip. We were just going to stay the weekend (I work Monday), but hubby is off through Tuesday, so we purchased an additional night with our new discount, so hubby and Mickey will stay while I slave away at work! The park is BEAUTIFUL! Our spot, Site #74 in campground #3, is spacious with a good amount of shade. We have PLENTY of space for our pop-up, 4-door jeep, and my car towing 2 kayaks. Very pet friendly, including clean-up stations throughout the park. We arrived after 8pm Saturday night, so I decided to wait until the next day to take a shower. Woke up to a note on the camper door that a site had a broken water pipe, so all water would be shut off until 4pm. Yep, drive home grungy. Definitely no fault of the park, just life. Good thing I travel with tons of wipes! The office/gift shop closes at 8pm. When we arrived shortly after 8pm Sat. night, the Ranger that was driving by stopped to see if I needed any help and pointed me in the right direction for after-hours instructions (didn't get her name); very nice and helpful. When we went to register at the office Sunday morning, Rowan and Caitlin were on duty at the desk. They were AWESOME! Very knowledgeable about their services, very helpful, and SUPER nice!!! They also confirmed that all GA state parks are first-come, first-serve (or not site-specific reservations). I don't particularly care for that, but it works to your advantage if someone leaves a day early. Also, the narrow roads are 2-way roads throughout. I didn't run into any problems, but it could be for those with bigger rigs than ours. It seemed everyone sticks to driving as if they ARE one way, which is probably why we didn't have an issue. We'll definitely visit again when "I" can stay longer!

Great State Park, friendly staff and well maintained. Wifi only available at the park office, currently about half the park has cable TV and looks like they are working to expand that. Nice walking trails, very good interior roads. Previous most mentions needing one-way roads, but they have sites that need access from both directions. Signage to find the park could be better. Enjoyed our stay.

Very well kept park, no water access but public boat ramp about a mile away....a lot of good sites....only issue is roads should be marked "one ways" but are not....some roads not wide enough for two way traffic can make things difficult......some turns are tight but we still could get through all roads with a 41' fifthwheel without hitting anything....

I have been traveling for two months now and this place is one of the most beautiful parks I have visited on the East Coast!! A wonderful park with very private, natural sites. They're mostly all "pull through" though they're not listed as such. The sites along the perimeter of the loops offer the most privacy. The sites are HUGE!! Spanish Moss galore!!. The natural setting could be a problem for your vehicle if you have a large rig. There are plenty of trees and uneven roads to navigate to get you to your site. Once you get there though, you will be satisfied. The privacy and serenity if the natural setting will make you feel like you're the only people for miles. They only have a few full hookups so reserve one if you need it. There is a dump station though so not to worry. There are several convenience stations with bath houses and laundry as well as several nature trails.

Lots to see and do right there in the park. Close to town, shopping, entertainment. Within short drive of many historic parks, not to mention the beautiful city of Savannah itself!

Excellent Georgia state park. They really do a nice job. Spacious sites, plenty of privacy. Really closer to Savannah and Tybee than it appears on a map. Quiet and plenty of wildlife. Would return in a heartbeat.

Quite, spacious, private and clean. Park is beautiful with plenty of trees. My one and only issue are the roads. Not because they are winding and narrow but because they should be marked one way and show the driver which direction to travel. No room for rigs to pass each other if another car or Rv is coming in opposite direction.

Large lots and lvl. Lots of shade . Only draw back was very expensive for state park. 42 dollars plus 5 for park pass. They give senior discount of 20 percent. So u can take that off total price

After reading all of the reviews and seeing how hard it was to get a site, I expected more. Especially for how expensive it is. It is a beautiful campground and very convenient to Savannah. Warning, do not get there early, they will not let you in even if your site is open. Plus they weren't very friendly about it.
