Rip off for price charged!
By user-5856571... on 2017-10-23.
Nice staff, but you are packed in like sardines! Neighbors dogs are barking, spots are so tight we just about couldn't get backed in. They told us they had spots big enough for our 34' 5th wheel they were very optimistic. Prices are outrageous even with a discount. We wont be staying here again.

Spoiled brats...
By user-5842406... on 2017-10-23.
This park was not perfect but it wasn't a loser like several make it out to be. My word, you are surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, there is a brook running along the property you can soak your weary feet in, you are less than one mile from the entrance to the park and you are a short 2 minute walk to restaurants and a very nice grocery store. I never pay much attention to reviews because they are over ridden with people who feel they are entitled to be treated like royalty and don't care about what these people have provided for their comfort. If you actually feel this way then do the rest of us a favor and sell your camper and stay home!

If I could rate this park a zero I would!

Neighbors dog has barked since we pulled in hours ago. We paid $60 to park next to a dog kennel. I'm super pissed off at this point.

Great place
By user-5834522... on 2017-10-23.
Beautiful, clean RV park. Friendly staff. Close to lots of shopping and the RMNP entrance. A river is right beside the RV park adding to the ambiance and enjoyment. Enjoyed seeing elk and deer frequenting the area. We stayed 11 nights in a 5th wheel. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Spot
By user-5280763... on 2017-10-23.
We spent one night here in June. We had a lovely site right next to the pond, also close to a creek. There is trout fishing on site and a good playground, pool and games which kept the kids, and the big kids, entertained all afternoon and morning. We also had a nice view of the mountains and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Over priced

Rip off for a twin of Resurrection City.
By user-5349559... on 2017-10-23.
Packed like sardines, dirty and dusty, sparse grass. We had to pay $65.00, I note another person paid $88.00. Go on up the road because it's noisy at night and too much auto traffic runs through the sites so dust was high. Next time I'm in Colorado, will definitely go elsewhere. People were nice but very busy, too busy to say thanks.

Can't add pictures
By user-5856571... on 2017-10-23.
I've tried since we left to load pics of the park. I wanted people to see just what they would be paying for there. Cramped tight spots, but the app won't let me! I wonder why? They don't want you to see how tight and packed in they are. Won't ever stay again.

Overpriced, internet never worked during our entire stay. Excuse was too many users, flimsy excuse. Won't come back.

Nice but a rip off
By user-5789857... on 2017-10-23.
Stayed 2015-07-14 to 2015-07-15
Let me start by saying that everyone is very nice here. That being said you leave there smiling but knowing you got screwed. It was $88 for one night. I had to fill up my propane the morning we left because it was a rental and we were returning it that day. It only took a half gallon. I was thinking great didn't use that much gas over the couple days. I go inside to pay and I get WITH A BIG SMILE "I'm sorry there is a $10 minimum". Not printed anywhere that I could see. I say fine give me $8 worth of candy or whatever to make up the difference. NO you can't do that. Then I was told there was tax to be added. It came to $12 for 1/2 gallon of propane. I questioned the 20% tax rate. And was told "well taxes are expensive here in the mountains".
Now about the actual campground. There is a pool and hot tub. Bathrooms were clean, no hot water at sink for shaving but plenty of it in the shower. No fires aloud. So no marshmallows or cooking over a fire. We were able to use a charcoal grill that they provided. There is a free bus service that goes through the town and picks up right next door at the gas station.
So remember you'll get service with a smile, it's just really a really expensive smile.

Over priced. Worthless internet. Ok
By user-6386933... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed several days could never get wifi to work. Most expensive rv park we stayed at in Colorado. However they had a spot on short notice. Spa was cold 1 day. Pool was being worked on.

Staff was arrogant
By user-4519364... on 2018-07-06.
Arrived and met a lady at check in, who projected nothing but arrogance. Made us feel like we were not worthy to be there. Extremely rude. Beautiful area, will never stay there again. There are other choices in the area. It was also very expensive for a weekend.

Not worth it
By user-5225638... on 2018-07-06.
Over priced for the dirt/weed spot with a LITTLE grass, no shade at all. Kids that worked the office weren’t overly friendly. Ladies bathroom was clean, men’s didn’t appear to be cleaned at all the 2 days we were there— no toilet paper in one stall, one toilet clogged and trash all over the floor. Will not stay here again.

Nice Park
By user-4847077... on 2018-07-06.
Stayed 2018-06-29 to 2018-07-02
Nice park with great amenities and right on the river. Staff was super helpful and restrooms were roomy and clean. We were there 4th of July weekend so I can’t judge rates. We were originally scheduled to stay at The Campground at Mary’s Lake and I’m so glad we stayed at Spruce Lake instead.

Good Stay
By user-6280741... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2018-09-09 to 2018-09-10
Everything worked and easy in and out park. We stayed here to be close to the Park and Trail Ridge Road. Estes Park is a busy little town and they had a festival going on that weekend, we were lucky to stay on a Sunday nite and things were winding down.
Staff, Meghan and Dan were very friendly and helpful. Nice view of the mountains from the campsite. We purchased diesel at Safeway and it was a lot cheaper than the other stations. Sure there is a lot of gravel, but your up in the Rocky Mountains, in a high travel area and RV Park.

Great place to stay
By user-5035230... on 2019-08-09.
We ve stayed here a week in each of the past 2 years and are booked for 2 weeks next year. We love staying here because it s convenient to everything. We ve always had a spot within 100 feet of the Big Thompson River because we like to hear it gurgling past us. It does have dirt/gravel streets, but you re not in the big city. It s always seemed to us that the people who work there go out of their way to be helpful from giving out information to picking up your trash and filling up your propane tanks. It seems to me that mostly places live up, or down to what you make of it. We love staying here.

Stayed two nights here because it was a great resort. Great views, clean property and restrooms. Kids loved the trout pond. Free City shuttle into town that is close to resort. Friendly staff! Plenty of room for our 30 motorhome on the site.

Squeezed us in
By user-5829659... on 2019-08-09.
We had a reservation cancelled on us at another local camp ground and called around town to see if we could get in. Spruce Lake RV Resort was able to accommodate us on short notice. The sites are close together and it's just dirt pads, dirt roads. No fire ring but it has a picnic table. Full hookups including cable and free WiFi (when it worked). Prices seemed high but I had no choice. Staff was nice but they stress their rules very much. No public trash dumpster, you have to put it out at a certain time of morning or hang onto it. It's a little inconvenient for people that are on the go and are in the national park early.

Tons of rules
By user-5829659... on 2019-08-09.
Feels like school again with all the rules and the tone in which they are presented. We had a trouble free stay but we were out exploring most of the time. Garbage pickup was a hassle as you have to be ready when they want you to be. We were usually out exploring and were not around for it resulting in a stinky can inside my RV. No dumpster for you to use. The spots were tight with other guests but I hear that is typical for Estes Park campgrounds. The camp store has very sparse offerings and are very over priced for what they do have. They were able to get us a spot at the last minute because our reservation was cancelled at another camp ground. We are grateful for that. WiFi was worthless.
