Best park in the area.
By user-5770572... on 2017-10-23.
We make this our home base when in St Louis. Weekly and monthly rates, lower in off season. Open 12 months. 25 nice RV sites plus powered tent sites. Private setting away from the hiway and on a lake with fishing and kayaks. Walking trail. 24/7 Park Ranger. Mostly gravel RV sites, some pull thru, all 20-30-50A. Close to Mid-Rivers Mall and other shopping. No shade trees yet; too new. This is a St Peters city park.

Excellent!!
By user-5046550... on 2017-10-23.
We were just passing through St. Louis and needed a place for the night. We wanted a nicer place after a stay at a marginal place the previous night. This place is well above just nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds and restrooms were very clean. Would have been a great stay if it hadn't rained the whole afternoon, evening, and following morning. Highly recommend this place.

Great park. Level sites, pull through & back in. Plenty of room with 38 ft 5th wheel & 22 ft pu truck. Big lake, great place to get away for a weekend and still be close to home if you live in St. Louis area. Prices are 35.00 to 45.00

Great location, nice facilities but lacks shade
By user-5877781... on 2017-10-23.
This park is pretty new. As a result, the facilities are modern, the hookups reliable and roads & trails are very nice. The trade-off is there is no shade, at least not yet. They have planted many trees but it will be a long time before they provide any useable shade. Sites are good sized and the office staff is very friendly & helpful. We arrived late and were greeted at the entrance by the ranger who opened up the office to process our registration and then guided us to our site even helping direct me as I backed in. The location is very nice if you plan a trip through St. Louis as it is just off the 370 bypass. The city center is about 25 minutes away and nearby St. Charles has a lovely historic Main Street for unique shopping and dining. There is also a casino nearby if you like that sort of thing. There is some traffic noise but buffered by a earth hill intended for flood control. The lake is large and great for kayaking which the park rents if you don't have your own. During summer months there is also a food trailer and nice dock-side patio where you can eat/drink/hang out. Overall, it would be marvelous if it just had some shade.

Loved our stay!
By user-6530356... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed here for 9 days in July 2016. It's a nice park offering much to those who seek outdoor activities. The park staff is friendly and most helpful and there is 24 hour security guard on patrol. No cable, but free Wi-Fi which worked fairly well. The sites are both pull-through and back-in. Roads are paved and each site has a concrete pad, picnic table and fire ring. All sites have 20/30/50 amps. Nearby is an extremely nice dog park. Currently, there are two clusters of sites with a bath house in between. There are many trees which will provide shade when they mature. All of the facilities and grounds were clean and well-maintained. We travel in a 40 ft. Class A with toad and would return in a heartbeat and recommend it to others. BTW, the park is being expanded with more sites being worked on now. It's a great park!

Great stop
By user-5814798... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed here for a month (weekly rate is 7th day is free). We loved walking & biking the 3.75 or 4.4 mile trail. We were in the new section. Very quiet with a farm field behind us. They provide you with recycling bags when you check in! They will also accept packages if shipped Fed Ex or UPS. The only issues were the wifi doesn't reach down here and the sites are softish gravel. It took two tries to get firm enough ground for our levelers (Class A--used wood blocks otherwise just punched holes) and boards under the tires might not be a bad idea if you're staying awhile. Very convenient to everything down on Hwy 70. The best laudromat is Best Way Laudromat on Mexico (there is limited laundry facilities on site also). We didn't use the bath house because it was too far away.

What Pleasant Surprise
By user-4618381... on 2017-10-23.
Well organized and level sites with full hookups except cable TV. Beautiful lake with concrete sidwalk along the bank. Bikes and peddle quad bike for rent. We loved it so much we reserved the exact same site for our return trip goting east. Much nicer than other parks in or near St Louis.

Very windy
By user-6726226... on 2017-10-23.
Be aware that the winds are magnified at this park. If the wind starts to pickup don't chance it. GET OUT! We had a blow over and it's not the only time it as happened at this park. And no refunds.

Beware of wind
By user-6743234... on 2018-07-06.
I live ten minutes from here and if there’s wind gusts, you’re screwed. I’ve seen rv’s on their sides with broken windows like an F 5 tornado hit. It’s in a valley and very dangerous during windstorms. They’re lovely campsites though and it’s nice having full water hookups.

Great new park
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
We parked here for almost a week in the summer to visit family and explore STL. The park is fairly new and has everything you would want- full hookups and new shower/bath house as well as easy in/out and pull thru sites. Our only complaint was that because the park is new (and it s on a flood plain) it s flat and ZERO shade and sites are close together. STL is very hot in the summer and our A/C ran constantly. Some shade trees would make a world of difference. This place is great for overnight stopovers, using as a home base will visiting STL, but there really isn t enough there to make it a destination on its own. It s a great park, but could be perfect if it had a little shade and privacy.

Nice park

Stayed 2018-12-14 to 2018-12-17
Stayed at this park in december. Very nice level sites. Easy on/off highway. Bathrooms/showers were very clean. Not too many trees yet, they need to grow up. Appeared to be a lot of activities to do in warmer weather. Definitely plan to stay again when in the St Louis area
