This campground works for our purposes and everyone we have met is really nice. We stay here during hunting season so its really just a place to sleep for us. I think others use for the same purpose, there is a good deal of activity very early in the morning! The sites are close together and all but a few are permanent camps. The transient sites are bayfront (no beach, but there is fishing) and close to the store. The store has food, bait, and happy hour supplies. Last time we were here they held a wine tasting - fantastic!! There is a boat ramp and many boaters put in at this marina. There is a small gameroom but no pool. Small kids would be bored here unless you had other things planned for them. I'm not very familiar with the area, but this place seems pretty far off the beaten path. Last time we were here an older couple in a huge class a overnighted next door. They did not seem happy and stayed inside :) It suits our needs well and we feel well taken care of here. One downside for us is that there are rabbits EVERYWHERE! You might go out your door and see a dozen rabbits, then find more under your unit! I asked about our dogs when I made the reservation, they did warn me about the rabbits...but , it was still shocking to see so many rabbits hopping around! It does make a long day for our peeps to stare out the window and want nothing more than to....chase that rabbit!!!

An older campground but beautifully located off the bay. If fishing and crabbing is your thing you will love it. Taylor island is an old island and real small community. Most of the people that live there hangs out at the RV store drinking beer having a grand ole time. Everyone will offer a hand. It was a great experience and I can't wait to come again. Now if your looking for modern up to date things this isn't the place for you. Every thing works and customer service was wonderful.

| I liked it

As others have said, most of the sites are permanent. Attended a wedding at the Cambridge Hyatt (or Hilton. Not sure) The rates there were $350 a night (group rate for wedding). Decided to haul the "beast" & stay here ($29). Couldn't of been happier. Booked for 2 nights because I knew we wouldn't be leaving till Sunday afternoon. Lady at office said "Hon. If your only staying 1 night that's all I'm charging you for". Also, they gave me 2 lot space for 1 trailer. The place is old, but clean. (Showers were fine). Even got some fishing in. Very nice people. Older campground. Long way off route 50. I was very happy & saved $320.
