FULL TIMER
By user-5181744... on 2017-10-23.
Quiet little " mom and pop" type campground. Full hookups with 50 amp. Most sites have shade . Near downtown Bardstown and the Bourbon Trail. Bathrooms leave a LOT to be desired but are mainly just old. Like this campground better than the Old Kentucky Home State Parks camp sites. Paid $35 per night after Good Sams discount. Stayed here in a 37' 5th wheel. Would return if passing thru again.

Quiet Comfortable Camp
By user-5268742... on 2017-10-23.
If you love the sound of crickets and maybe the occasional train whistle in the distance, this is it. Nothing fancy, friendly owners, low key. Full hookup, shade trees, very relaxing after a tough day on the Bourbon Trail. Only a few minutes from town and several distilleries and within about a hour of all the Bourbon Trail has to offer. Restrooms are rough, would benefit from a facelift but are clean. Sites are well maintained with grass and are level. Would stay here again if in the area.

Full hookups are available on gravel sites. Verizon 3 dot LTE. Great location to tour the town of Bardstown or several local bourbon distilleries from.

Not recommend
By user-5299538... on 2017-10-23.
Owner changes mind about price and is very condescending. Would not recommend. Amp is not full when running a 50amp 5th wheel.

We have stayed in this campground twice and for us had been the best one in the area. Owners continuously work to maintain the grounds clean. Will definitely recommend.

Quiet, clean campground
By user-5858017... on 2017-10-23.
Camp is easy to find and access. It is located between some fields behind the owners home...it is well lighted and has mostly level, spacious gravel/grass spaces. Full hookups..clean and quiet. Bathhouse was modest but clean. No cable...WiFi weak. That said ...this is a lovely spot to use as home base for the Bourbon Trail or any other activities in this area. Owner was gracious and helpful with info about the area. Good Sams, AAA or senior discounts available. We were camping in a 33' 5th wheel.

Owners attitude
By user-5794454... on 2018-07-06.
Drove to the campground from Walmart because of the price listed, owner wanted $40, for an overnight, I said the RV parky app says $24-28, he told me that I am using the wrong app, I went back to Walmart for the night, I'm keeping the app.

Trash

Had a reservation and when we showed up owner (rude) had given our spots away. Not exactly a nice property either (especially at $40 / night). Look elsewhere, don t waste your time and money!

Quite stay

Stayed 2019-04-22 to 2019-04-28
We stayed six days and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. There aren't any amenities. The bath and showers are old, but clean. There are two sections to the park. The old section has nice big trees and gravel parking sites, mostly level and nice sized. The new section is gravel but has no trees. Allen, the host was very friendly and helpful and checked on us several times during our stay.
Would definitely stay there again.

Great location
By user-5234009... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed here 1 night while in the area for touring along the Bourbon trail. Called the day before to reserve a spot. Allen gave me his phone number so we could call him if he wasn t in the registration office when we arrived. When we arrived he pulled right up and got us signed in. He was very friendly with lots of information about the area. He showed us to our area and let us pick our site among those available for the night. We didn t need to use his facilities so I cannot comment on those but we would gladly stay there again. Location to town was very convenient.

Great place to explore the Bourbon distilleries
By user-6388146... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-04-30 to 2019-05-03
Stayed here for three nights in early May. Owners were kind, considerate, and very flexible. Arrived very late (after midnight) on the first night, Allen told us to pick an open spot for the night and we would work it out in the morning. Managed to pick the spot right next to our friends and get settled in for our trip.
Was not charged for the first night, and Allen was great at getting things squared away the next day. Simple, rustic campground with full services, and adequate amenities. Camping is about sitting outside enjoying nature in the evenings, and this is the perfect site for that.
